The Americans you play with on XBL are a bunch of little kids. I'm sure there are probably some adults and other older than 13yo people that play, but they probably don't use a mic since they're annoyed by all the little kids. I played CoD4 on XBL once and it was terrible, just a bunch of kids screaming and breathing heavily into the mics.
That's what I love about PC gaming. Yes it has its share of annoying children too, but for the most part I find its audience much more older and mature than console gamers.

It's a good example of how our nation has progressed in fighting racism over the years. This is why I'm offended when you make the outrageous claim that we are the most racist nation in the world, when there are so many other nations who are much much worse.
