Sounds like they are doing just that... these boosters are going to only be available via the EA Downloader.Sgt.Scream.MDK wrote:

it aint the Merkeva....(too bad because its my favorite tank next to the Leopard....) ..here is proof.. http://www.fprado.com/armorsite/Merkava … -Front.jpgJobarra wrote:
Can't wait. Sounds like a hefty and worthwhile expansion. Looks like they have fixed the server filters as well with the upcoming patch.
Looking at the screenshots for the Euro Forces booster, I think I like one of the maps already. Looks like a MEC map to me with a little town on a hilltop in the desert. The should be fun to assault. I'm wondering if Israeli forces will be part of the new army. The reason I say that is because it looks like one of the new tank models is an Israeli Merkava MBT. I was thinking if it was European, it would be British or German MBT, but their MBTs have a more substantial profile on the turret I thought. I thought the Merkava was one of the only tanks that has that sharp angle on the turret as well as a smaller turret overall.
Man, I hope it is the A10 and Frogfoot that are put in as Attack Jets. Of course, I think everyone will be TKing for them Truthfully, I would prefer a hardcopy as well. However, with how EBgames and Gamestop/Babbages have moved primarily to console games(last time I walked into a gamestop, they had ONE display dedicated to PC games. And most of those were MMO type), I imagine EA will actually sell more by selling online. 5.99 british pounds? I'm guessing about $15 American? Terrible at conversions, but I know it's about twice as much in dollars, and to get a nice round figure it's going to be 14.99 or 19.99. Who knows, maybe it will be 9.99
ermm... actually that pretty much looks like the one in the screenshots=RDG=[N.B]canadiannnn wrote:

Yeah, Sounds like a European Union army to me almost.Negotiator wrote:

I would think it's booster pack. The armored maps sound to me like they will specifically be made for the additional vehicles.maef wrote:
so, after all this talking about hardcopy or not i've got some questions...
is this going to be kind of a patch including some new maps, vehicles and stuff or rather a real expansion? because if it's the patch kind and it costs money, would that mean there would be a "patch only"-version for free and a "booster pack including patch"-version you have to buy?
if there is no free patch available it would be a little unfair i think. you had to buy the thing to be able to continue playing online. that would be like charging extra money for support now that the game has been out for quite a while.
Yeah, looks the same to me. Although the turret does look more substantial to me now on the real Merkava. But still the overall characteristics seem to match the screenshots. The way the main gun is mounted is the one of the biggest similarities besides the double slanted turret.maef wrote:

As Jobarra said, there is a distinction between patches and booster packs here that you are missing. Patches will continue to be released, however will not contain any new content (after this patch, which includes two new unlocks for the AT and Sniper kits.) The booster packs look like they will only be available via EA Downloader for a low price and contain a few new maps and some new guns and such.maef wrote:

Ugh... I hate the Steam with a passion. I would probably have enjoyed HL2 if it weren't for Steam. Had to uninstall the whole thing after it was installed due to numerous problems that came up when it was installed and then disappeared when it was uninstalled.tF-voodoochild wrote:

I wonder if they just decided to fix the GL instead of removing bunny hopping (which is why most people didn't like bunnyhopping anyway.)WormGuts wrote:

cant wait for this boster , playing as the UN - United Nations will be sweet (if its the UN that there gona put in it), the eurofighter will be kool to! i might actualy start flying the aircraft then , an the price £5.99, cheep as chips thats like $11 or something for US players
I'm glad they made the GL much more realistic as well as game balanced. Yes, I know that this is just a game, but part of the gameplay IS the immersion into a pseudo-reality. On that topic, I think they should still fix bunnyhopping. Maybe not removing firing completely during a jump, but the inaccuracy of your weapon during a jump OR a sprint(well, you can't fire during a sprint anyway I guess) should be on the order of 4-5 times as inaccurate AT LEAST over when you are standing and shooting. This would reward players who actually setup a defense at a flag. Right now it takes nothing for a player just to bunnyhop all around prepared defenses(well, takes some stamina).atlvolunteer wrote:
