So, as I have explained before, I work at Quiznos sub. Well, last night, I was working the slicer machine, I slipped on some water on the floor and sliced my finger pad right off. Didn't hurt as bad as the movies make it out to be until the nurses at the hospital squeezed the living shit out of it. Anyways, heres the pictures I promised:

So I know i cant be the only one. What finger-related injuries have you guys had?

Well, final update:
1 year 3 moths later it has filled in a lot. There is a scar now and the sense of touch is dulled. Overall I'm left with a cool scar story. Woot!

Oh yeah, this was around 8:50, 10 min. before we closed, so no one did eat any blood-soaked sandwiches.

The two people in the store did, however, look up in shock as I was jumping around the store swearing my ass off

My Grandpa almost sawed his thumb off with a table saw. My Grandma yelled something to him and he got distracted by it. The hand kept pushing the piece of wood through the blade (with the thumb stuck out perpendicular to the blade).

Next thing he knew the thumb was hanging by a tiny piece of skin.

Doctor managed to stitch it back on. He can't feel anything with that thumb and he only has half a nail. Lucky tbh.

I havnt cut anything on my finger off, but during high school football 3 years ago my pinky got caught on someone running by and it snapped. it was almost sticking completely sideways. it was pretty gross looking and hurt a bit. now my finger has this giant scar going down it from the surgery and it has metal pins in it. the bone splintered into like 10 different pieces. it also can't straighten all the way, only like 3/4ths of the way.

atleast i still have my pad...

For one, that's hard core.

Let's see now, these are some of the ones I can remember, from like.. ..1989.

1. Got my ringfinger and little finger damaged way back in the day by a defective garden chair, you know, one with the springs. Mysterious circumstances, but I ended up with the tip of my little finger being stitched so that the bone wouldn't show.

2. Had a blackboard eraser fight when I was ten, jumped high and hit my hand in a fluorescent light cover which sliced open my knuckle. Again, stitches.

3. Cheese slicers can be dangerous, especially new ones. 1x3cm slice off the side of my left hand index finger-dangerous.

4. Knifethumb

5. Knife-littlefinger.

Everything has happened to my left hand, and the scars are there to stay.

I need around tree fiddy.
