Recently I reformatted as my in-game mic wasn't working. I reinstalled and everything seemed fine, patched up the game and loaded BF2.

The first run, I got to the first two loading screens (EA games + Dice). At which point the game froze, a black screen and back to desktop.

I reboot my system, this time I manage to get to loading a map when I get a BSOD, I managed to get a quick look at something, and all I read was something like:

' DRIVER_IRCQL_IS_NOT_EQUAL '.

Anyway, my system then rebooted itself and I loaded BF2 again, getting to about 70% I was taken to the desktop and got this:

Please ask any questions, I've reinstalled BF2 3 times so far since my reformat, and I can never get to the stage of being able to spawn. I'm considering reformatting one last time to see if that would help, however I'd like to actually know what went wrong last time.

corrupt memory I'd say, or your hard disk is going down...

Bump, I tried to reformat and play again, managed to play in game for about 5 minutes before the same BSOD came up, rebooting my computer.

Since then I'm failing to get past 15% in loading a map. Should I buy a new HDD? How can I check if my HDD is failing?
