That's a shame... Greg Proops is normally pretty funny... I didn't realize he was anti-guns.Kmarion wrote:

Dragunovs or PSLs? $950 is too cheap for a drag.HollisHurlbut wrote:

This is Australia. Everything is illegal here. /joke
I would like to own a pistol or a .22 rifle, but I just cant bother with the effort etc. So instead Ive joined the local pistol club's "Saturday Night Rifles" which a few friends from cadets go to and we shoot .22 rifles at targets. Its pretty fun and we go to Maccers afterwards.

An SVD is a $2500-5000 rifle. You were looking at a PSL. If not, I'd scrape together every cent to pick that up.
I went to his online listing and looked -- it's listed as a Dragunov PSL-54C. So there we go.
You need the special sniper ammo for the Dragunov. Without it the this is inaccurate as hell.HollisHurlbut wrote:

(Yes I have shot one)
They put the dragunov name on there to lure morons. The PSL is a good rifle, but nothing like the SVD in design or function.HollisHurlbut wrote:

Yes. I myself have a Hi-point 9mm carbine (RIFLE not pistol) and a mossberg 500 shotgun that my dad gave me. In the house however, theres also a glock 21, ruger .22, another .22, and two .38 revolvers..... and last but certainly not least....

15 more years! 15 more years!
It's way too much of a hassle to get a piece in the city. (legally that is)
Havin a gun around is only an invitation to get shot.

i see no need in owning a gun
I'm glad I bought my AR-15 in October! I think the going price for my LMT went up $400 from when I bought it.
I am also looking to buy a STI 1911 come February or March.

Its legal here but you have to jump through hoops to get one. Personally theres no need where I live so I dont own one. Nothing against them as long as they are totally legal.

I have four pistols, they are legal here for target shooting.
Ammo and pistols are kept separately, pistols in a 200kg safe.
Its not a big deal to jump through the hoops.
I'm also club treasurer.

Yeah I have 2. A Smith and Wesson security six (357 magnum) and an SKS. I keep only 5 rounds for the Smith and none for the SKS...(my father keeps 500 rounds at all times, plinking is no issue hehe
I have 2 little children and I know from experience having guns around young ones ISN'T a good idea.
I keep the Smith under my matress, so far its been a secret (my wife and I know, but the kids dont).
I love my weapons, but as with all things, there is a time, and place.
Concealed/carry permit FTW

Do you mean Ruger Security Six?
Now might be a good time to find a better place to keep it, your kids will find it soon enough.

Yeah, Ruger...my bad. The revolver is buried deep in the matress...besides, they are never home when we arent, and our bedroom is off limits.
When I was 12 (41 now) I made a HUGE mistake with that 357. I'm not about to see it happen again.
On another note...I'm no idiot, I know my kids.
*no offense taken, and none intended*

Nope, near impossible to get firearms here, but I would love to have a collection.
