How the hell did I miss this thread? I've been playing eve for over 3 years. IG name: AstroPhobic. You have probably seen me post in ships+modules forum if you read the eve-o forums.
As for a thorax... IIRC there's only one fit.
Highs: 5 electron blasters
Mids: MWD, Warp Disruptor, Web
Lows: 800mm Plate, EANM, DCU, 2x MFS
Drones: 5 Medium ECM drones
Should all fit. Needs good skills. All t2 if possible. Load guns with faction antimatter and pew pew away.

The info part of this thread is kind of odd.. I fly all minmatar subcapitals (excluding regular interdictors and t2 BS), all amarr subcapitals (same exclusions), and gallente frigates (all kinds).
My ships? They vary from day to day. Right now I have an Abaddon, Vagabond, Crusader, Harbinger, Huginn, Broadsword, Scimitar, Claw, Claymore on Astro. My alt has a sexy sexy dominix. My other 2 alts are hulk-capable. but empire mining blows and I'm still looking for a decent alliance to stick them in so they can isk farm.

no, for the time being i need a sort of interim fit, while i train skills up - especially drone skills. medium hybrids are a go, MWD isnt however atm so it takes too long to close in most of the time - i need a bit of range.MadKatter wrote:

PvE? What is this nosense? A vexor is better, but you have to have at least decent drone skills. You'll want a web if you're using blasters. If you're using rails, you're a dope.

Long range = friend in pve.
Don't totally switch over to whatever everyone else says is best just because they have a slight advantage.
If you train for missiles and hear about blasters being good and train for them and train for another gun and maybe another you've just waisted a long time trying to be versatile because of theoretical advantages.
Pick your race. train for your ship and spec your weapons. (and anybody who says any race is gimped you need to look again.. caldari has awesome electronic warfare abilities and tanks WHEN YOU TRAIN FOR IT! minmitar is the fastest and every single pilot fears the vagabond.. When you train for it! the gellante have massive drone bays and can dish out a lot of damage out with them If they train for it. And the amarr are legendary tankers/snipers. when we train for it!
Spend the rest of that time training for the good combat support skills that any pilot needs. (and skills that help you get more isk! Isk is very important in this game)

I want to get amarr cruiser to 5 so I can jump into the zealot. Once I have the HAC skill I'll train it all the way to 5 and in the meantime Ill work on my laser spec skills so I can use all T2 stuff.

PS. Rails on a thorax makes baby jesus cry. Cruiser sized wont be able to hit level 2 rats, so you can downgrade to frig sized (150s), but it's not really needed if you can afterburner + blasters with hammerheads getting anything at range.
