same guns means you can sit at one range and be effective, also can swap ammo around in one go
different guns means different ranges, so you're never applying all of your dps, and yeh its generally bad
this is for missions i presume?
ed- also the only thing crystals really change is range, so multifreq is for very close, radio for far. there's a variance in em/therm damage and close range = more damage, but thats it

just noticed your full fit, like guns dont run more than one kind of tank (armour, shields but never both) youll end up with two ok-ish tanks, but its way more effective to tank one layer really well (armour in this case) and use the other slots for something else.

The Omen is a good stepping stone to the Harbinger though, which is a rape machine. A fully T2 fitted harby can bring 600dps with average skills and 700 with good ones, and it can tank a decent amount too.

ok if it's damaged (you mean hull or armour yes) next time you dock up fit some armour or hull repairers, then undock and fix up. no point in paying for repairs in station
