Post songs that were covered by another band, where the cover is just freakin good.  Preferrably STUDIO covers, but live covers are fine too .

Mine:

No Quarter- Led Zeppelin - Covered By Tool
Hurt - Nine Inch Nails - Covered By Johnny Cash
Walk - Pantera - Covered by Alice In Chains (live)
Imagine - John Lennon - Covered By A Perfect Circle

.... For the hell of it... WORST Cover I have ever heard probably is Wish - Nine Inch Nails - Covered by Linkin Park.

Scooter's cover of Rebel Yell is good.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Bob Dylan has given Hendrix cover huge praise. He even went as far as to say he felt whenever he played it, it was a tribute to hendrix.

Any cover of Hallelujah is greatly better than Cohen's rendition.

Gary Jules' cover of Mad World is vastly better than the original as well (emo song, I know).

Finally, Liam Clancy's version of The Band Played Waltzing Matilda makes the original look like crap.

Edit: They are all sad songs. Thats interesting. I'm not emo.

Yeah, I know. One of the reasons Bob Dylan is my favorite artist is because of the respect he gives other people, and the amount of respect he's given.

Not really a big fan of artists doing covers. I find alot of them get abused and destroyed! However l did prefer Knocking on Heavens door By Guns & Roses. That was bloody good.
