I don't. I just feel that it's a bit strange when you address a multi-national community as one country.
I am not addressing the multinational community. I am addressing the person who started this topic, who is apparently american.
FYI, the US is not the only country with retailers selling this game,this is why you prefreferrably shouldn't ask "what branch of the US military".
Disregarding the fact that the topic has "US" in it, my answer is:
Finnish military (because (almost) everyone is drafted, and most serve).
Finnish Marines (Coastal infantry), Double training: MP and Anti-Tank infantry

There are only so many poll options, though I suppose I could have added "None (foreign military)" to the mix. Too late now, though. Sorry. Someone else can start that thread.
As DonFck pointed out, the topic has "US" in its title, and the poll specifically lists branches of the US military, while generously allowing US civilians and foreigners (citizens or otherwise) to answer as well in the bottom two options. I seriously don't see the problem here. But yes, I am quite sure that everyone is aware of BF2 being an international game. Why else would there be such a variety of flags on the leaderboards?

army ftw, they are the ones who stay and occupy, the marines just charge. when i went to the us i saw the join the marines ad... "first ones to fight" not very appealing to young americans

I'd be really bummed if they USMC didn't accept me because of my eyesight. I haven't seen a complete MOS list but I like mortars a lot.
