i start BF2, login, join a multiplayer server. all doog so far, then...... it loads and eather in the loading of map or the verifying client data or what ever it says the pc will crash!      same as wen you press the restart button.

anyone know why its doing it?

pc specs are:

PSU - 350W
CPU - AMD Athlon 2800+
GFX - GeForce 6200 512MB
RAM - 1GB
HD - 80GB (60% free space)

dont knwo whats up, isnt the best of computers, but ay christmas after i upgraded my pc u think it wont crash on the new stuff?

will be:

PSU - 550W (or something like that)
CPU - AMD 64 4000+
GFX - 6600GT
RAM - 2GB
Cooling - will probaly get afew more fans caus i only have one now!!

my mate had similar prob, turned out to be a stuffed motherboard.

ok cheers for that, had to get a new motherboard for the new processor anyway so hopefully it should work fine after the upgrade

Internet problems never cause your computer to completely restart. Internet problems would cause lag, or no connectivity to BF2 servers (and normal 'net pages).

I'd say,

Motherboard
Lack of Cooling
Power Supply.

After you upgrade, and you still get the problems, then it's probably a shafted hard drive.
