Is it worth me dowloading it? I'm tired of BF2...The constant crashes, the empty promises from EA...

Can someone please give me a run-down on the whole POE2 thing?

Also, please don't post anything stupid...If you're going to post noob, or search or anything close to that, don't even bother...I'm looking for some mature responses...

I played for about 4 hrs yesterday and all of the maps that I played were heavy on vehicles. I also had quite
a bit of lag but then i haven't got the best system and friends with better rigs told me that lag didn't affect them.

Hey, it's free. Why not try it?

The infantry battles are amazing

The Tank Battles are amazing

The Jet Battles are amazing

Everything about this MOD is amazing...

The maps, and armies, along with Vehicles and weapons are even, there is no J-10.

i've only played 2 maps, but i think it's a great mod, and there are a shitload of people playing it online. it runs well on my machine and my machine is pretty mid-level. honestly, i think you'd be best off just downloading it and giving it a try since it's free and you'll know for sure one way or the other what you think.

Maybe because you have not been keeping in touch with the BF2 news and mods.
POE has been circulating around here for quite some while.
And it seems is has been a major success.
I advise downloading it, unless you like "spawn camping" because in POE, it does not allow you to do so.

Do you like infantry combat the way it is in BF2?

Are you very good at infantry combat, and generally end rounds with KDRs substantially larger than 1?

Do you care about rank-ups and medals?

If the answer to those four is "no," you'll have great fun with POE2.

For those of us who basically own infantry battles, POE2 is good, but the frustration of all the weapons becoming extremely newb friendly is profound.

Its good, I been playing it its pretty cool, good vehicles that require teamwork to operate.

However, 1 major thing about PoE is, almost all of teh maps are so damn foggy!

Why?!?!?

For me this really ruins the look of the game and serves no purpose at all except remind me of turok 2 on the N64!

PoE2 is AWESOME... as to the foggy maps, I found them less foggy than some of the standard maps. It is excellent all the new weapons etc, being able to select Heat or Sabot in the tanks is a great idea.

I only downloaded it yesterday and already I think its the Mod that EA should have done, it seems so much better.

Now if only I could find some ranked servers for it.

mods are not aloud to be ranked unless approved by EA - and this has never happened before and most likely wont happen...

However, POE2 will have a ranking system of its own which wont be related to BF2s ranked system...

I must say its better than any of the booster packs EA/Dice have made.

IT SHOULD BE RANKED ITS THAT GOOD!

Perhaps EA/Dice should have taken some of the ideas from this and applied to BF2.

Ive d/led it.

Its good, not what i was expecting, in the way i was expecting it to be the all and powerful substitute to BF2 Vanilla.

If you like lots of Hardware then get it.
If you like to die alot then get it
If you want new weapons then get it
If your up for something fresh then get it
If you like elements of the game that should of been in BF2 then get it

As a matter a fact you might as well get it.
