but it all depends on your system specs, i'm running an ATi card now and my system is more tuned towards an nVidia so i get problems there. Damn AGP graphics devices!!
anyone got a decent idea of the main differences + pros/cons of AGP/PCIe etc? i'm thinking of upgrading from my lowly Radeon 9600 Series

Did you try AMD and Intel yourself on a large scale? I did and AMD blows Intel Away. You're the only guy saying Intel is better then AMD stop gaying around

on topic: AMD buying ATI would mean that Nvidia will not support chipsets for AMD, but they will support chipsets for intel. it wont hurt intel much anyways, since that less than 10% of gamers run SLI or crossfire setup
I was hoping it would've been Intel and ATi seeing as how I like Intel better and ATi better than NVidia but nothin anyone can do when you're throwing around that much dough.

Intel was really shocked when AMD bought ATI, since that ATI gave crossfire support to intel's 975X chipsets
