i met a taiwanese girl at a clubnight once and she was really keen to talk to me about the uk dance music scene. she keeps inviting me to go to taiwan and put on a clubnight and get involved in her local scene. she is in her mid-20's and her name is ching, but she goes by the name anne. she works in publishing. she is quite attractive but for some reason i get the impression from 90% of the asian girls i interact with that they are kind of crazy and have emotional issues.

well being away from home and having a huge amount of freedom (people in their 30s still live with their parents here, cultural thing...) and being an outsider and all has an effect on the emotional level.

Any of the guys I know who married Japanese girl ends up regretting it horribly. One hasn't had sex with his wife since they concieved and the child is like 8 now. Another stayed in a terrible relationship with his wife for years for fear of her packing up the kids and running home if he left. He's trying to move in next to me with his girlfriend and his wife says she won't let the kids come by if he does. There are 2 others one in a bossy marriage and the other divorced years ago. Strangely enough all the guys were a bit weird to begin with.

an asian girl who came over from a super-wealthy chinese family and who looked like a plastic-surgeoned barbie doll (huge eyes, perfect skin, very manicured, etc.) once overheard me say after a first-year english seminar that "i didn't know what she was doing here", because she was basically dumb and hadn't read anything. i didn't know she overhead it until the end of our final year, when she drunkenly told me so. i felt bad but then i didn't, because she was the total stereotype of a vacuous and material person, just at uni for the prestige. she took a master's in 'asian management' (no joking) at the school of african and oriental studies, part of the same uni. london. she is now a middle-manager for tesco's asian side.

i wanted to be attracted to her but i'm pretty sure to this day that she is dead inside.
