how does 1 get good at jets? i was bad in bf2 and much worse in bf3
good old practise i'm afraid
Blackbelts are just whitebelts who have never quit.
stat pad till you get air radar and then just shoot other jets and hope they dont have air radar

you have to buy the bf3 prima guide to get good at jets

Threshold is 50% IIRC. Extinguisher gets you to 53% so you start auto-repairing (gay).m3thod wrote:

In hardcore you don't regenerate health or vehicle repair.
And above your tomb, the stars will belong to us.
does the jet repair by flying low over your airstrip?
nope, i tried it over the carrier many times in kharg, even landed the thing. Does nothing.menzo wrote:

i think its lowered down to 32 once you unlock the maintenance perk.-Sh1fty- wrote:

so when you are on fire and don't have extinguishers, you are fucked. gayRTHKI wrote:

well you either get lucky and land that shit and jump out praying to god it doesn't explode infront of you or just bail out and wait for it to respawn.menzo wrote:

Ah, so that's why I'm still bad.DUnlimited wrote:

I downloaded that thing instead of buying...
On a serious note:
There are more comprehensive guides/faqs/tips on GameFAQs than those Prima guides.
It seems like those Prima authors and editors get an instruction booklet from the publisher/devs on how the game is supposed to play.
They definitely haven't played large parts of the game at all.

disabled damage used to be 50, it got patched to 32. Maintenance is a perk you can choose, not a permanent upgrade
to kill stuff you FLY AT IT from VERY FAR AWAY in a STRAIGHT LINE while HOLDING M1. congrats you just killed a heli/tank/apc/jeep!!
if you do that enough you unlock AIR RADAR and FLARES and ROCKET PODS. use them.
rocket pods are the same as before you fly AT STUFF in a STRAIGHT LINE while holding M1. now you're getting EVEN MORE KILLS
you brake to turn much faster, if you're fighting an enemy jet just keep flying in circles, and brake to make them as tight as you can CONGRATS YOU JUST BEAT 95% OF PILOTS IN THIS GAME
if you get locked on to you fly UP and AWAY. do not drop flares. if they fire a missile, wait 3-4 seconds then drop flares WHILE STILL FLYING AWAY. once the missile has fucked off you should be far away so your flares have time to reload
if you have no flares just turn as hard as you can when the missile is close to you 100% SUCCES RATE
you can land and repair but you have to be NOT AWFUL at flying to do that
that'll be $19,99 (gift payment to my paypal USD currency only please)

sweet thx
as an alternate to luciens guide, it's preferable if you don't want to die much to fly over you base and wait for your jet to respawn, as opposed to landing and getting stafed by a jet/heli which is likely since whatever damaged you would be one of those, and not some stingermong
you know the more i practice, the luckier i get.gurdeep wrote:

Addendum: Minimum turn radius can be achieved when flying at a speed between 280 and 290.Lucien wrote:

Okay guys, this utility may just make the F-35 about 75% more bearable than it currently is.
Basically, it allows you to assign different keys for hover and brake. If you open up this program, it'll tell you in the Jet controls that brake and hover are assigned to the same key. You just need to reassign hover to another key and the F-35 instantly starts behaving much more like a normal jet, it's still crapper than the SU-35, but definitely not as much, I mean you can turn much more effectively and do much better strafing runs in general.
Also it allows you to have a heavy brake for jets which slows them down to about 100, unfortunately for the F-35 you can't slow it down to 100 without going into hover, so this is kinda just like another hover button for the F-35 but for other jets it acts like a heavy brake.
Really well put together program too it's not some dodgy shit and it just changes the config file like how you can in loads of other games, so PB won't have a problem afaik, it allows you to change alot of the things in BF3. Check it out:

Really made the F-35 better for me. I can brake without going into hover. Fucking DICE. The settings allow you to do it, they were just too lazy.

looks sweet for sure, does it have any fix for the 3d spotting-range bug on the 200 series nvidia-cards ?Mekstizzle wrote:
