3-5 years, depending on how successful you are at each stage. hopefully i won't have to spend a year on editing and referencing, i'm pretty competent. and i'm not sure, it depends on funding. personal dedication/curiosity isn't the thing i'm worried about... it's the necessary £30k/annum stipend that i need. i'm well on track, will just see how my enthusiasm holds up.
