Same board and CPU, but with an eVGA GTX580 and 16GB. Running ultra on 1920x1080. Beautiful. But it did lock up my PC once.Pubic wrote:
6850/Phenom II x4 945@stock/8GB/GA-990FXA-UD3 is silky smooth on high at 1280x1024. Christ this game has good graphics! Doesn't even push temps much.

My build just ran it with all settings on high at a solid 60fps.

I can't wait for a few months from now when I can actually visit this thread.
Is nVidia planning their next series of vid cards within the next few months? I'm so out of the loop.

38fps looks smooth, feels a bit off though. Put it back to high. 60fps is naizzzzz.
Also my last computer ran BF2 at a solid 28fps on medium/low settings. LULZZZZZZZZ.

Nvidia cards were expected by the end of the year, but manufacturing has pushed that back to 2012. Looks like AMD will have a few months head start.Camm wrote:

I'm considering buying this. I had planned on skipping buying games outside of the half life series from now on (I figured 2 grand on games was enough), but considering the huge decrease in players on BFBC2 I might have too.
Anyways, I'm still running my same set up from my thermal paste days:
nVidia 8800GTX
4GB of DDR2 RAM
Q6600
7200RPM hard drive
wondering what kind of settings I'm going to be looking at playing this game. I can run BFBC2 at all highs except for AA and AS filtering which are both turned off.
I'd considered building a computer again with the same tower and PSU but my business had a slight accident in which 30grand worth of equipment was destroyed, so that's a no go for the moment.
