Torrents for a mini laptop

I am stuck with an ASUS mini laptop for a month because my gf took our main laptop with her to visit family.
Is there a way to download torrent movies on a mini laptop? Would utorrent work? Please help. Thanks.

I should of mentioned its an asus Eee pc with a linux OS. I am fairly certain that I wont be able to download torrents to watch movies but I thought
id ask to see if anyone knows for sure.

Sure it may run linux, that just means you need linux software. Download Whatever torrenting program you can find in the repositories, then use the internet as normal. Yes you can watch movies and download things on linux.
