If you're going to be using a console, I'd recommend native 1080p over 1920x1200. Many 1920x1200 monitors have flaky firmware when it comes to dealing with a 1920x1080 source.

As for specific monitors, take a look at the LG w2453v-pf. Very good looking display for gaming. Has hdmi, dvi, and vga...and it has 1-button input switching which I find extremely quick and convenient when switching between pc and console.

Also, note that most PS3 games will look less than spectacular on any 1080p monitor. Monitors, unlike high end HDTVs, generally lack good 1080p upscaling hardware. Since most PS3 games are 720p (some even lower -- MW2 is 600p), textures will look noticeably blurry given how close you'd be sitting to the monitor. The 360 will look fine since it has a very good 1080p upscaling chip built-in to the console (the PS3 leaves the resolution up to the developer, the 360 will upscale all sub-1080p games to 1080p).

I have a T220 also and swear by it. I run it with the magiccolor crap on for games because it makes them look really good, but turn it off when I need more accurate color reproduction for stuff like photo editing. I would go with the T240/HD

This!

A 1080p monitor for console gaming is a poor idea.

I don't know. Are you?

Monitors are poor for console gaming. Use a TV. They're much better suited.
