I was doing a night dive (scuba dive with no sun out using bright flashlights) and we surfaced from 60 feet after a safety stop and it was PITCH black (Costa Rica at night, near some mountains so no light on the shore or mountains) as soon as my head came up I heard shit flying and splashing all around and whipping past me and about 5 other people surfaced and some chick got hit in the face and we didnt know what the fuck they were until our divemaster said, "flying fish!' it was weird to say the least... They kept flying past us heavily after the first few minutes but then it was a few a minute till shore
