Yeah, it soved Englands problem of pissed off colonists that is for sure.

but your view point that you should tax all the earners to death to support a leech farm does not surprise me in the slightest.

Lowing the leech farm at the top siphons way more money off than the leeches at the bottom.  But by all means, keep railing against the people on welfare as if they are a major problem with the state of the US economy, not the transfer of taxpayer wealth to modern-day robber barons.

AIG, Goldman Sachs, Bank Of America et al. receive billions of dollars in taxpayer money with no accountability, but let's focus on Joe Sixpack receiving that $1000 monthly government check

While we are at it, let's go after those leeches that are unfortunate enough to lose their houses in fires.  I mean, I pay tax so they can get saved?  What the fuck is that?  It's not like my house is burning down.

It was a slightly tongue-in-cheek comment actually, but there we go. I realise however, that bills have to be paid somehow if you want to live in a society that isn't like Somalia.

and what does more for an economy, wasting money on leech feeding, or money going up to be invested into building industry and supplying jobs?

Like I said, Detroit and NEw Orleans is full of leeches, where are those cities headed. Taking money away from productivity and dumping into a pool leeches that produce nothing will kill you economically.

Somolia is exactly what you will get if you insist on turning everyone into a poor govt. dependant leech by taxing them to death. If revolution does not occur first, just like what happened with your first brilliant suggestion.

The article in the OP streeses that this increase hurts median earners. Kind of against your argument of other peoples money?

You create jobs through investment into companies, via shareholders, you know, the guys who don't earn the big bucks like the CEOs do.

If the middle income earners have more money to spend, and do spend it, they are either going to A) consume from the company it's service or product, or B) invest in that company.

What is an extra hundred thousand or even million or so dollars going to do for the CEOs of that company? They are going to buy a bigger yacht? Or hire more workers where there is no demand for more workers, because the company has less investment and less consumer demand.

There are more middle income earners than top earners. How hard is it to figure out where the best investment into a company comes from?

You create jobs, by having the evil companies make evil profits for the evil rich. Who in turn re-invest. It is as simple as that.

By the way I thought we were talking about your desire for trickle up poverty to wipe out the rich. Are you backing away from that desire?

You get more investment from shareholders who are middle income earners than you will from the rich. Why? Because the rich don't need to invest for a retirement. They don't need to invest for their livelihoods like retiree's. They sure as hell don't need to invest into their own companies when they are already earning plenty of money. And they really don't need to invest into their own company when it's not going to create more demand for the good/service they offer when the middle income earners who buy from that company don't have the money to do so.

And if you think it's the socialist view that wiping out the rich is a fabulous idea is great, you're totally in the dark. Although from your stance on health care it would be easy to assume you want to wipe out the poor by denying them health care. But let's not digress into that argument here...

The shareholders that matter are the ones with enough shares to call shots within a company, and I hate to break it to you, but they are rich

Well, erm...the average person is employed by a small business and the average small business owner is not rich, so go figure.

You create jobs by increasing demand. The evil companies making evil profits for the evil rich will do sweet fuck all until there is sufficient increase in demand to warrant expanding.

you just dont become rich.  you either inherit it or have to cheat somehow.  oh sure maybe lotto or something.  or maybe you invent something but those are few and far between.  both the poor and rich need each other.

Exactly the reason why the individual states should unify their tax system. Why do you think so many rich Dutch people are living in Belgium?
