C&C3 is pretty n00b friendly tbh. I used to kick the crap out of many people on that and I'm not great at RTS.
Nod + quick expansion + good eco management + macro = unstoppable scorp spam.

I would strongly recommend SC though, given that SC2 is on the way. Learn to play the original well so you don't get wtfpwnt by everybody in no.2.

Scorp Spam isn't that viable a tactic anymore. You'll be crushed by Titans, EMP'd by Enlightened, Incinetated by Purifiers, Blasted by Tripods or nuked by PACs if you spam scorps. It is probably the most easily countered tactic in the game next to rocket inf spam.Flecco wrote:

Lol in all the replays i've watched, i'm not sure i've ever seen an MCV rush work. Besides in like 1.04 TW
1. you have to many RTS too start with. Your not gonna find a good rts and stick with it because it seems you get bored of things quite quickly if you buy all those different games.

You can't get away with only using one type of unit anymore, unless it is a BlackHand mirror and you both use Purifiers.
I ussualy play Marked of Kane and use a combination of Venoms, Englightened and Tiberium Troopers.

I just thought, u could have gotten him the commando series or soldiers: heroes of wwII, both are really good and require sound strategy's to play.

WiC is probably the most intense strat out there.
For traditional RTS though, definitely CNC3

I am not huge on RTS, and have never been patient enough for RPGs....but I have been trying a few RTS lately.
So far Warcraft 3 has been pretty cool. Nice mix of the two generas , decent enough graphics for an RTS game and good fun.
I have started WiC and Starcraft but I think I am enjoying this most.
WiC's camera controls seemed cool at first, but I think its just a bother tbh.
Do people still play warcraft 3 online? Would I be able to find games?
