Computers have nothing to do with being cool. Computers are inherently uncool. It's all about what's on the inside. I'll pick an ugly but powerful pc over a stylish and weak one every time.

I can find several notebooks that look nicer than any apple notebook.....

e.g. the new XPS M1330 / The new Alienware notebook (which i find to be the nicest looking notebook i have ever seen)

I've tried refraining from purchasing products from manufacturers who use harsh, mudslinging, name-calling tactics. Such as Mac. It seems like such a desparate attempt to attract unintelligent customers.

So far, this (and Alltel wireless) are the only companies I've come across.

So, again, I'm done talking to you about it because you just can't seem to get it past your thick skull that I know a helluva lot more about it than you do seeing as how I use 4 different Macs a day. Goodbye, if you abso-fucking-lutely need to get the last word in, as you always feel the need to, you can PM so you don't waste thread space with your BS.

Now that I know that Eve is supported on Macs (and with Premium graphics too), I really wouldn't have such a problem using them anymore.

I had to use a Macbook yesterday. Don't know if it was a Pro, don't care either.

I can safely say it sucked ass.

MS Office is more for integrating business funtions and extending ... not just for average joe.

No they don't charge $2500 for a system like that. They charge nearly $6000. You are the one talking rubbish.


There are places you can get it cheaper. Especially if you work for Apple like I do. But from Apple (without a staff discount) that's what it costs.
That's with a shitty 7300GT too. Hardly high end graphics.

I use dozens of Macs of all varieties every day (although I didn't today, I spent most of the day driving around with a van load of Xserves installing them at various companies foolish enough to use Macs as their servers). I can safely say that Mac hardware is amongst the worst I have ever seen.

Mac users who like their Macs need to accept that the only reasons for liking them are the simplicity of the OS and the prettiness of their design. They are not even close to being in the same price/performance league as PCs, nor are they even close to having the same level of hardware reliability.

I do run it on high with a 7300 GT. I may be getting Crysis for x-mas, which in that case, I WILL put it on high. You do have to understand that I don't run anything but Halo and URT2004 straight on the Mac side. I use my PC partition.
