Why does everyone feels like opening "i hate WoW" threads. it is almost as bad as "should we nuke..."
Was just complaining about this in the other forum thread about "hate wow hate wow" bla bla bla..

it becomes very fun when u get above lvl 25, theres no end of the possabillyties!

Was adicted to wow my self, got 3 lvl 60 characters, i got a bit bored for a while and spoped playing it. After a while i feelt that i wasent adicted any more. I didnt wanna go back and get adicted again so i uninstalled it and keep away from it! Il tell u the truth, I loved it and it was fun, but getting adicted is NOT fun! It steals to mutch time and im not gonna keep playing this in the future anyway so i quit!

Just as two chars might not be grounds for judging the game - so would your couple of friends. They could be the only sane people in the WoW universe...
I too have "a couple of friends" who play - and two of them got seriously hooked, to the point of not going out much. Thankfully, the craving for alcohol and women got them on better ways

Cartoon Graphics, Pay by month just to play, another mmorpg that isnt planed out past a certain point, then they tout a new expansion that is sure to bring many more bugs...before fixing the old ones... sound familiar?

LOL! The only bug I run into is lag... and that isn't classified as a bug. Besides, don't give me any shit about how it gets boring once you've reached level 60. I think there are maybe 45 variations on creating a character alone, and over 200 variations on creating a character and then using different skillsets.
runescape was allways fun i use to play that for a while good game,i think im still a member but it don't cost much so meh.
I don't like / Play MMORPG's but 7 million copies sold x 15$ per month sounds like a solid business plan to me...
vivendi is going to publish resulst soon and atm it seems as if they earned 25-30mil $ only with WoW subscription fees... seems as if there are enough willing and paying customers... used to be one myself until I noticed how much time I spent with this game.. I'm still playing computergames now (w00t BF) but I dont spend even 1/3rd of the time on them compared to world of whorecraft... thank god I'm (half) cured

Ugh, WoW can't be compaed to BF2. They're 2 freakin' different genres! in every single game, there are some nerds with no life, bla bla bla. Just look at nitro91. He pays for HACKS.
Solid point Tetrino, but from my experiance, and note I'm trying not to be general, most of the people I see playing WoW at my iCafe fit some example of a classic nerd. I'm getting to really know these people, they're there more than me. There's the fat bald with glasses and a lisp one, there's freaky long hair with shaved sides one. There's guy who looks fairly normal but is there 24/7, there's acne-man who is always accomplanied by exchange-student man. there are the two guy in Wellington College school uniforms who ditch out on school to play some Wow, (the whole 'too cool for school' schtik.)
There are also my mates who play it, Ben, Cameron, Hamish and Sam. Ben I havn't known that long, he came back to NZ from Singapore, (he's caucasian,) and is a drop out in my opinion. Smokes a lot of Pot and used to duck out on school to play WoW. Out of the lot, he plays the most. His twin brother is a fucking genious who got DUX of the school, five scholarships, three or something with full marks, several other scolorships, shortlisted for the cambridge scolorship and will get that too, superb debater, intillectual, gentleman.... but enough about him, (it's obvious who got the evil twin genes here.)
Cameron's a guy with a strong american accent, some acne, short hair, glasses and a slight lisp. A classic example of a nerd, (not holding that against him mind you,) he's a good guy, but plays WoW, and sat next to me in Stats last year and told stories of his exploits, which in the end, bore me to tears.
Hamish is kind of the opposite. A quiet kind of guy who's into his running, (the guy's extreamly fucking fit,) and plays WoW a bit. Seems to have mellowed about the game a bit. Often catches me playing BF2 at iPlay and sometimes joins in.
Sam is a good mate of mine, the drummer in my band. He's a fucking enigma. He likes Anime, (which I dispise,) techno and death metal, (an odd combination,) and plays computer games quite a bit, (at least until his parents started keeping tabs on his computer habit when they caught him on porn websites.) Dosn't play WoW that much, but was converted when Cameron, Ben and Hamish were trying to convert people, (I was a lost cause.)
See, nerdyness is not really an issue, it takes all sorts. The whole fantasy genre can be seen as a haven for nerds but it's not true.
In saying that, I still fucking hate World of Warcraft, forever will and am FUCKING SICK of those ARSEHOLES who take the ONLY TWO working BF2 computers to play WOW while EVERY SINGLE OTHER PC in the place plays WoW too and I have to wait for them to get off, (which dosn't happen by the way, so I normally try again the next day.)
I've asked them to leave stating that "Every other computer had WoW working on it so can you please good sir perhaps move so I can play a game that only that PC plays?" Which is nearly always answered by "I'm in the middle of something," as they sit there wallowing in their own urine, poking away at the computer ever so often when a number they don't like appears above their almost stationary character's head... anyway, beside the point.
You can't really compare BF2 to WoW as they are different types of games and different genres. However, I'd like to compare BF2 to WoW right now and say that BF2 beats WoW hands down and forever will.
For some quick statistics, every time I go into iPlay, (my BF2 haunt,) 95% of the place is playing WoW. It sickens me.
