When I'm on at night, I have the TV set to a classic rock radio station. Rock, blues, and some assorted metal stuff, turned down so I can still hear footsteps.

My usual kind of heavy, speed, cyber, and thrash metal would distract me a whole bunch, and would necessitate cranking the computer way up to compensate for the necesarry volume.
A result would be the cat complaining bitterly. He dislikes my taste in music, saying it offends his delicate ears.

i've tried listening to grindcore and death metal while playing... that's really good if you want to massacre the other team

but mostly, no... it's complicated to set up an playlist and it start repeating itself if you ain't got enough music

Yeah, sometimes I listen do Talib/Mos def.

Others I listen to things like Blink 182 and The Dandy Warhols.

yes. I have a playlist and when I enter the plane I start the list by using my G15 and that's if I get the plane.

I do not listen to music when I play BF2.

I like to use the audio clues like the direction a threat is approaching or the sound of a attack Heli getting closer etc.

Although at times when I'm in a RIB boat I have been known to hum a few bars of "Row, row, row, your Boat". I would like to get a full squad on Teamspeak singing it on fraps as we traverse the waters. That would be awesome.

And every now and then i put all my songs on a playlist, hit the random button and get my mothers shakira collection playing off whilst i am blowing people up

But in the main i listen to celldweller and prodigy. Techno-ish sort of stuff.
