There was an incident at a bar in my city on the weekend, two women got booted out for kissing on the dance floor whilst hetero couples were allowed to keep going at it. Now, this sort of treatment is illegal and is pretty much an open and shut case.
But it got me thinking.
Men are men and women are women, two different genders. When they pair up with people of their own gender, are they seen as more or less acceptable than same-sex couples of the other gender?
Are lesbians (both in couples and by themselves) seen as more or less socially acceptable than gay men?
This is not mean't to start an argument about whether or not homosexuality is acceptable, thats another topic entirely.
