Yea 8800 is out of my budget im just pushing for this. The only thing i know for sure is the 7800gs has 20 pixelpipelines and the x1950pro has 36, if anyone has any info on them let me know.DoctorFruitloop wrote:

Well anyway i been reading reviews on both cards and some games the ati card does better and in some the 7900gs does better and seriously i cant decide which to get. The main thing that is holding me back is im not into overclocking and the x1950pro is a very good card at stock speeds but the 7900gs will kick its ass once overclocked. Can anyone help find me a bf2 bench mark on both cards that isnt bias? Also the gigabyte version of both these cards come stock with zalman coolers. so i guess that would help if i oc'd a little.

I'm prejudiced against ATI - had some bad experiences with them and games in the past. And there's this rumour going round that they made cards specifically to excel at benchmarks, not at gaming. But that was some time ago.
I'd say go with Nvidia. It's the way the games are meant to be played. Or something.
