Yep.  I would like some suggestions as to what motherboard to get.

I have an AMD 3800+ X2 Manchester CPU. Socket 939!!

I will be buying this video card (PCI-E) because my current ATI X800XL is an AGP. (Booo)

Now, I have to match my CPU and video card with a nice motherboard.  I only have one in mind so far.

It's currently out of stock, but the estimated time of arrival is only a week from now.  Which will give me some time to get the necessary money and stuff together.

Suggestions / comments are always welcome and appreciated.

I haven't had it, but I hear that's a good board, do you plan on OCing?

Asus A8N-SLI SE.

Best sort of budget 939 board around. It's really, really good.

I don't need an SLI.  I don't plan on ever using it.  I would like to OC... eventually.

Regarding price range... I think that a good motherboard shouldn't have a price range... but I would like to keep it reasonable around $100.

You might not need it, but the better boards tend to have SLI and it's good to have the option there anyway.

The A8N boards OC pretty well.

Okay, so say I buy a board with SLI compatibility and I choose not to run dual video cards... Will that effect the boards performance in any way?

Bertster7: You say, "but the better boards tend to have SLI" does that mean that the newer boards that have SLI are better than those boards without that capibility?

There'll be no difference in performance(positive or negative) between a SLi board and non-SLi when running a single card.

Most of the better boards are indeed gonna be SLi capable, as that is the trend among enthusiasts. I never intend to run SLi on my board, but I bought it just the same because people had good things to say about it.

Yeah, but that would mean I'm gonna be spending a shit load more $$ than I expected.  I would need new RAM, CPU, and mobo... I'm buying a new Video card anyway, but still...

I'm gonna keep this rig within my budget for now.  My next rig will be a C2D, but I'm gonna wait definitely over a year to do that.  I just want to cure the problem at hand for now.

I read all the reviews on this board... It took me a few hours and did some research on it through the OC Forums.

For around $75 I think I'm gonna go with this one, unless something here has something awful to say about it.

GC_PaNzerFIN:
not a bad board, the A8N-SLI deluxe, but the rev 1 always have problems. So the A8N-SLI and A8N32-SLI board are like the greatest 939 boards
but, if u wanted to use socket AM2. u need to look harder.
I have AM2, but my M2N-32 SLI is like $200
