@BOOM, what's your budget? How much can you afford to spend?
Any thing under $200au
Very slightly overbudget, but this looks like a decent board.
It does indeed. Get it. 650i is a nice chipset.DoctorFruitloop wrote:

WOW GOOD THING YOU POSTED, JACKASS.znozer wrote:

If you dont wan't to do SLI, or crossfire, one of the best boards that you can get ATM is the Asus P5B-DELUXE. You don't need the wifi, and it has great overclocking potential. I just in the last week built a new system around it, and it runs awsome. Also, when you are buying your ram, make sure that the ram that you get is based on the Micron D9GMH IC memory chips. Ram based on those you can overclock to no end. (well, maybe not to no end). It is worth spending the extra money on Micron D9GMH IC based ram, such as BUFFALO Firestix, Patriot eXtreme Performance, Crucial Ballistix, some of the mushkin stuff, and G.SKILL. You will want EPP ready memory.
How does the intel 945p chipset rank comapred to other motherboard chipsets?
Not brilliantly. The 650i/680i are the best. The Intel P965 and 975X are pretty decent though.B00MH3ADSH0T wrote:

A few extra dollars on a MB rather than on the case would be a much wiser decision. The Asus 650i board looks absolutely perfect for you.

ASRock Conroe945G-DVI
Takes 667 DDR2, PCI-E, Conroe (duh) and SATA. Micro-ATX though.
I've seen it for around $130. Dunno if it's at the store you mentioned, I can't be bothered looking.
Why does it have to be that store?
