Punkbuster Error (Service Communication Failure : PnkBstrB.exe)

When my friend plays 2142, he continuously gets kicked. There have been many problems from punkbuster but most of which we have found a solution and fixed them. Our latest problem, which we can't seem to fix, is an error message "RESTRICTION: Service Communication Failure : PnkBstrB.exe". He's downloaded the PBSVC and tried to reinstall it but with no luck. It doesn't even show up in his task manager. Windows is currently allowing the port but I'm not sure if his router one is, and if it isn't, I'm not even sure what port it would be since punkbuster has no info on this. Any help is appreciated.

Lately, when I join a server I am always kicked by Punkbuster. Whenever I am kicked I recieve this message...

PB IMPORTANT: RESTRICTION: Service Communication Failure: PnkBstrB.exe initialization failed

and seconds later I am kicked with a blank Punkbuster box at the main menu of the game.

The only possible causes of this problem that I can think of are...

Recently I had to uninstall and reinstall 2142 because of launching issues.
I have been talking to my friend on xfire and he and I thought that it could have been an issue.

Or... anyone who speaks different languages can help me with forums from another country, this topic has been discussed on foreign forums. (I can recognize German and French... but there are two more languages)

Well here's what we have found. Apparently with my friends it was because McAfee was blocking Punkbuster A, thus causing Punkbuster B to not run. If Norton is using a personal firewall, make sure Punkbuster A is allowed. Also make sure that Window's firewall is also allowing it. If your running Vista its a different story and I couldn't help you there =P

Might need to manually update punkbuster, I had problems with it, and so did a few of my clanmates, once I updated I didnt have a problem for two weeks till it needed updating again

The full steps would be,
1. Make sure that you have PnkBstrB.exe To make sure you have it, run battlefield, open task manager and see if its running.
2. If it's not, go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services Make sure PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB are enabled.
3. If you do not have PnkBstrB download the PBSVC and run the UNINSTALL first.
4. Next run the Install. This should reinstall Punkbuster A and B.
5. Next allow Punkbuster with your firewall (McAfee, Norton, Windows, ect.)
This should work if done correctly because me and my friend solved the problems, if you have any more questions on the steps feel free to ask.

Now I'm having this problem with bf2... I've tried everything in this thread and nothing is working (manually updated PB, mucked with firewalls [I ended up disabling them], etc.)

This is really getting on my nerves.
