I have Pandora on all day whilst I work. You tell them what kind of music you like and they play you lots of music that is similar to it.Entertayner wrote:

You then tell them whether you like each song and they refine your profile.
As you continue to play / rate music it gets better and better and you end up with a personalised, chatter free, advert free "station" that plays top notch music every time!
Doesn't cost a penny either!

I listen to Pandora when I'm at work and can't access my own music library. Pandora has helped me find a few artists I like, but most of the time they'll play a really good song from a band and then I'll check out the rest of their stuff and it sucks. Plus, sometimes Pandora is really spot-on, and I'll listen to 10 or 20 songs in a row without skipping or changing the station and I'll wind up bookmarking over half the songs... and then other times it just completely sucks, it won't play anything I like and I'll keep skipping or changing stations only to hear more crap. So Pandora is really hit-and-miss for me.
Last.fm is really awesome. I like seeing the many stats of my music and listening to the recommended stuff. Also I was going to put their amazing sigs in my BF2s sig but it's too big You guys should check out the Widgets though, you can build your own playlist and post it on a site (though I'm having a hard time looking through all my stats to add the songs I want; I tried just playing out a playlist of stuff I wanted, hoping it'd show up on recently played, but that's not even working )
...and for some reason recently played tracks aren't showing up on my last.fm page even though I "loved" them and they show up on recently loved.

For those that use iTunes there's also iLike which is really good, it installs a sidebar in iTunes and basically does the same as the others do in your iTunes player.
