Dont increase mental/ physical stress by worrying about something thats probably not going to happen. And NEVER see a ND/ chiro/ homeopath/ take part in any alternative medicine for medical treatment.
We are getting very close to understanding cancer incredibly well.

did anybody ask for another brainwashed idiot with more gay propaganda to post?
i don't remember. it's okay though, join the circle jerk if you like.
Theres no argument because theres no facts. All opinion. Out with it already and stop projecting your homosexual insecurity. Just embrace that you want some wang. http://www.feelguide.com/2011/06/16/new … -impulses/Shahter wrote:

Sanders is trying to overturn citizens united. What a joke our republican candidates are. Absolutely terrifying. I dont know how some of the middle class is still supporting them.... Just shows the level of intellect a portion of our citizens have. We are the laughing stock of the world, but hey we have the biggest military power and a gdp based on monopoly money. GG
Porters mmmmm. Despise ipas. Need to go to ireland to get an actual good pint of guiness
Thats where the uninformed peasants go Ken, duh... Unable to make it into the big boy league like mister uziq. Holy shit theres some serious snobbery within this silly little debate. Teaching at a community college enables you the oppurtunity to reach out to some very bright minds who cant afford a 200 k undergrad degree in english at some posh uni that your parents paid for. It gives you the chance to inspire and build up students who left highschool with no academic confidence- the kids who thought they were stupid or had an undiagnosed learning disorder, or after years of working dead end jobs decide to pursue knowledge. I might be a moron but youre an entitled idiot uziq. Try walking a mile in someone elses shoes for a day. I would think by an english degree you meant pre law because the way you argue, but even your arguments are terribly constructed. You think you are better than others, but What exactly does an english degree do for society? At least stem benefits humanity and leads advancements of human well being. Even law school would rather see stem than humanities.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:
but who cares if it's at a "dogshit community college" if you're talking about semi-retirement?
Ah gotcha. Thanks for the enlightenment senseiuziq wrote:
sorry but there's a little more to being an english major than backing out of every half-formed tirade you have with, 'well, it's all subjective man'.
Haha youre fun to rile up. Ive found many of my profs to be closed minded arrogant dorks who perpetuate science that has no real world bearing. Using their new found position of power to take out there teenaged repressed angst on anyone who doesnt fit into their ideals. I never said it was a dead end job, all my profs would just much rather be doing research, not helping spread a love of the subject. Spewing pre written slides does not bear any semblance to having good social skills in my books, but that is purely subjective. A priciple an english major would be very well acquainted with.
Figured Id get that fiery response from ya. Im just messin. Non stem has its place for sure. I guess if thats the track youre going then thats fine. I would never want my terminal degree tract to be just a prof.... That whole prestige/networking game is idiotic. You have to kiss ass the cast from the big bang theorey who could never use and didnt have the social skills to apply their technical skills to the real world. Really a shame. Youd be surprised at the amount if school in Europe offering courses in english as well. Just curious what is your phd disseration?uziq wrote:
because most of their universities aren't as good if you're trying to build a career, particularly in academia. it's a prestige game. to get a tenure track position in America in competitive/traditional disciplines, you have to attend one of about 15 top departments or it's all over. and even then you could skip on with your doctorate from Stanford and have to spend the first 5 years of your career in buttfuck, Minnesota.Surfdaddy wrote:
Wait non science phds and masters. Whyyyy
Also you guys are right next to a bunch of countries where education is free.... Germany, sweden, norway etc
also it's not as simple as 'Europe has free college'. it's not always free to non nationals and the language of instruction and examination isn't always English.
I'm not sure what you mean by questioning non-science PhD's. to teach a subject at university level you need a doctorate. to do professional research you need a postgrad degree. I guess you're suggesting none of our schools should teach anything to future generations that isn't STEM. what a brave new world!

Who do you think the consistent 30-40 unregistered users lurking this site are.... Show yourselves!
Holy smokes this is what bf2s was to me 9 years ago. So classic
Ya I played a lot of IO on Karkand thats for sure. Haha nothing better than the suicide c4 cars Steve O. Trolled many a player solely for the lulz
Ya I remember trying to play Fushee more but the servers would always be empty. It did have the best graphics for sure. I always just felt so exposed at zatarcablecopulate wrote:
I've said it for years and I'll keep saying it, FuShe was one of the best maps in the game. The rounds took a while due to the size so servers stopped playing it regularly so people thought it sucked and wouldn't play it on rotation. It was a bad cycle. Also, it was the best looking map in the game. Songhua was garbage but Zatar was ok.Surfdaddy wrote:
Ahh how could I forget kubra dam. I started playing daqing A little bit more, but never got too into it.... Clean sweep was a good one too....What other game put out maps like this.... Sheesh. Ya It was always tragic to get shot down by an f16 when you were in a j10 haha. RIP to the never played maps like songhua stalemate, fushe pass and zatar wetlands. Those maps were lemons

To the game that brought this whole community together. Reflect on what made you play-
For me it was the air combat on dailan, wake, oman, and dragon valley. Of course the great infantry combat on karkand and sharqi before the patches destroyed any semblance of hit detection and karkand turned into one big nade fest. What really hit the nail on the head was the teamwork needed in this game. A good team made sure that everyone played a specific role. Not like COD where you just repeatedly throw your body at something hoping to get the checkpoint. Bf2 took teamwork and skill.
Cheers to a great game

Ya was trying to kick myself of that whole internet addiction thing... So joining I dont think would have helped. Ha One of the true OGs right there Ken
Haha it was more the community of like minded people that I gravitated towards. I always found the squabbles to be entertaining at the least
Wow this is such a trip.... I lurked this forum without ever registering for over 9 years and was in love with battlefield 2. Looking back, my freshman to sophmore summer was the first time I stumbled upon this site. I was linked here because I was trying to find out how to become an uber leet heli pilot and stumbled upon someones thread with a video. Little did I know that bf2 and bf2s would be one of my only refuges as a bout of mental illness started to plaugue me in my early teens. Hopping on bf2 and then reading the forums gave me my only sense of community during those terrible times when my life started falling apart.
It was such a tragedy for me to see bf2 start to falter after a couple awful patches. Public play became almost impossible with those unforgiveable hitboxes and the CLU chopper server became my go to playing server.
As bf2 started to pass so did the bf2s forum. It was always so interesting to watch daily posters start to slowly disappear. Also watching the shenanigans of fancy pollux, the group of guys with the ORLY owl avatars, Kmal, the mods being hilarious, and that tall guy... Cougar? I was always in awe when I would see someone like baby spinach, viper, or the other generals post. Ranking up to those guys' level in bf2 was one of the only things That kept me going when everything in life was worthless.
Unfortunatly my bf2 obsession became a way for me to hide from my problems and a hefty addiction started to form. After a bout of bad behavior And unsattisfying play I snapped my disk in two and vowed never to play again. I would still lurk the forums for hours for years afterwards until about 5 years ago.
Anywho besides an enormous amount of nostalgia- now Im a college grad with a degree in science interning at a clinic and pursuing my dreams. I now also have my mental issues in order. I played call of duty pretty regularly for a year or two but nothing can even shine a light on what bf2 was. Absolutely the best action online video game to ever be made. It was so addictively immersive. No other game developer has even come close.
While most of you never even knew you had an impact on others, always know that your actions helped someone who was in some serious shit. So thanks
It was always a pleasure entering this unique little zone of the internet.
Ps- always thought ken jennings was the best poster. Smart guy....Keep it real brotha
