Well, quite some people have started to come to best side of BF2, 1.12. I thought a post should be made to organize all of these people, so when we play we will always know who to look for to see if they're online.

1.12 is where some of the best BF2 times of my career took place. I remember whoring it up in Mashtuur, Black hawk style with all of my clan mates having a great laugh. I remember how Dogfighting took some skill, how Wake was an amazing map to play, How Karkand had some of the best infantry fights ever. If you want to re-live the good ol' times, or play them for the first time, download 1.12 from here. There are still a few ranked servers in 1.12, so for the people who like the points, you can still get them Hope to see you there!

A quick Guide to Installing 1.12

1. Uninstall BF2
2. Install BF2
3. Patch to 1.12
4. Copy your "Battlefield 2" Folder (Located here: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES)
5. Rename the copied folder to "Battlefield 2 1.12"
6. Patch to 1.4
7. Rename the "Battlefield 2" to "Battlefield 2 1.4"
8. Re-assign any shortcut links you have

I think I should just organize a list of names with Xfire names also, so people can either BF2s them or look them up in Xfire to see if they are playing. This way, everyone will have more fun on these servers, and also if we have 10 or more, maybe start a fresh 1.12 server up.

Please, if you want to be added to the list, post your BF2s name, your BF2 name and your Xfire name (If you have one).

i loved 1.12 that is where the game took so much skill (and all the old randoms just got absolutely ass fucked:p)

i play at a lan cafe (not so much anymore because the game got recked but ocasionly so i cant exactly play 1.12 but good luck to you guys that can because you are living my dream! :p

1. Install 1.12
2. Copy your Batllefield 2 folder
3. Rename the copied one to BF2 1.12
4. Patch to 1.4
5. Rename the other BF2 folder to BF2 1.4
6. Depending on the version you want to run, open up this folder and run the BF2.exe inside it.

You cna also send these shortcuts to your desktop, but what nub has items on his desktop? Quicklaunch FTW.

unsupported compiler target errors
in the particles and trails and some other shit.....I just did a clean install of BF2 and only patched it to 1.12 and I still get this errors..might the patch be faulty?
