0/10 L2P.
And what I said in the other thread wasn't related to WoW in general, I was basically just saying stuns shouldn't be in FPS's and killing someone in a stun isn't skill it isn't out playing them or anything, the sandman isn't exactly overpowered, but that doesn't make it a good part of the game. The only way the other post was related to WoW was the PVP trinket bit, which was more saying if there are stuns you should be able to break them or do something about them somehow, this wouldn't be the easiest thing to implement into the game. I guess they could put it into one of the headpiece things or whatever, but it would only be usefull for one class with one weapon that alot of people don't use. So I don't really see it happening.
And lol at "L2P".
I have done this heaps of times, still don't know what I did to cause it, I think if you drink and run past the cabinet in the spawn it refreshes your time while immune, but doesn't refresh the time when you will start running slowly (you can't drink when running slowly) so you can have it so you are still immune while running slowly and then when it comes off you are running normally so you can drink it again. If you stop doing it though it will eventually fix it's self so you have to constantly spam it.
It's not really helpfull unless you are just annoying people.
Not sure if that's how though.

HAVING CONTROL OF YOUR CHARACTER IS BAD
Anyways if I am ever being an idiot when playing scout with the sandman I just hit my bind to say "Outplayed" whenever I kill someone who was stunned, because clearly I outplayed this person who couldn't do anything while stunned. People who actually defend it make me lol, same people who defend crits aswell.
Clearly we need PVP trinkets in our bags.

Also just another thing, you can also email spoof, so if an email comes and it even says its from @facebook.com or whatever their one is. It doesn't mean it is from them. So as someone already said, clicking on links in emails can be risky. And yeah, checking the URL helps.

lol he thinks soldier and demoman are underpowred and are hard, olololololol
I do agree with the spy nerfs being fail though, also the sniper crit delay (the quick switch thing i don't really care about but it often bugs up, not allowing you to switch weapon or scope or something, I can't remember as I don't play TF2 anymore, but it got me killed alot).
Also if you play soldier and often run out of rockets then you suck at the game, if you play soldier and need to have a constant healing source then you also suck, soldier is easy, you just fail.
And just lol at "It was the second most hardest class to learn(Behind Demo of course)"

My main problem with Last stand is that they are invicible for a second or two, while they can shoot you, you can't damage them. Unless they fixed that in a patch as I havn't played on the most recent one yet.Spark wrote:

Well do you say BF2 or most other FPS's (but for some reason you think BF2 is the only one with these things) would take more or less skill if they removed recoil, things that make an increase/decrease in accuracy and headshots?wah1188 wrote:

Also a skilled CoD/BF/CS/whatever player should be able to play TF2 quite well the first time and won't take long to be good at it, I personnally don't see a person who has played TF2 only being that good at other FPS's at first.
Also yes, I know this is TF2 and not BF2, and my point is TF2 takes less skill that other FPS's.
Also with your quote here "TF2 does have headshots with the only class that really matters; Sniper. It's a teamgame, and the focus is on achieving the objective and winning the round, not getting a great kill:death ratio" Which is kind of my point, it doesn't take nearly as much skill as other games.
I could then continue with my point of TF2 not needing much team work even when not playing in publics, but you seem to think that;
demoman: oi medic, heal me.
medic: k
demoman then destroys most/all of the enemies defence, while the medic basically simply stands there, watching the back of the demoman at most.
is brilliance, amazing teamwork, and outstanding co-operation. So I honestly can't be bothered saying anything more past what I'm saying in this post.
With my spam comment, I was refering the the fact there is hardly/no proper recoil, so heavy really all you have to do is just aim at the target and hold the trigger, pyro is at times just spamming the flamethrower, demoman/soldier is just spamming explosives everywhere which people at times can't do much about as the maps are quite compact and the blast radius is quite large.
Also I do... well have played matches, but with TF2 being the game it is, I simply did not enjoy it as a good player isn't really rewarded for being good. And I have done the demoman/soldier thing, I have been the demoman/soldier, and I have been the medic, and not much teamwork was needed, and even forming a good defence/offence wasn't that hard to achieve either. I also lol at the fact that most TF2 players I have played with seem to think, that TF2 is all about public games, and that playing actual matches is not what the game is about, while you seem to say the game is all about teamwork, and then saying that you don't/won't get much teamwork in public games.
Anyways as I was saying, for me the games arn't that great, but the price is good though.

Portal was widely acclaimed because it was different, and entertaining. Sorry the boss fight wasn't hard enough for you, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the actual point of the game. After all, a game sucessively leading up to a final boss fight would have been far too predictable and linear- wouldn't it? Portal is a great hype-machine / trivia experience that adds a lot (of speculation) to the back story of the expansive Half Life universe... that's chiefly why it was such a success to the community. Half Life has been commented on as being linear, but it is a great game in all of it's linearity- the puzzles and bursts of combat give a good impetus that leads the player through the fantastic storyline. I'm not a Half Life fanboy by any means- but please direct me to games that have such a good storyline that aren't predictable or cliché; I'll play them with equal eagerness and enjoyment.
Your criticism of Team Fortress 2 as taking "Shit all skill" (Nice alliterature and sibillance there for effect! Perhaps you are an intelligent poster after all. /sarcasm) just shows how flawed and lulz-worthy your opinion is. TF2 was voted the Multiplayer FPS of the year, and it is the best team-based FPS out nowadays. Public play and clanmatches alike work on the basic principles of cooperation and teamwork being the key to success and victory. The major draw of the online community to TF2 is the fact that personal skill means so little in matches... if you want the trite and boring experience of being thrashed by a 'team' because one of their players is high-skill, go back to Call of Duty 4 or Unreal Tournament.

You being the "o" and you have to get to the x, all you have to do is put a portal high on the wall behind you and one on the ground, you either just jump through the one on the ground and if you dont get enough length you land in it again. At first it was ok, didn't take any thinking though as they told you that you had to do it, then the next level was pretty much the same thing and then again. Like i said Portal is a puzzle game, puzzle games are supposed to be challenging or atleast make you think a bit, and Portal failed to do that. It wasn't hard, it got old quickly, it has little to no replay value, because of this it wasn't very entertaining. Also I don't have a problem with Portal being linear as it had more of an excuse to be linear, half life however doesn't.
Half Life I will admit can be good can be bad depending on you opinion, it doesn't have too many flaws apart from stuff that is just opinion, and I for one dislike it. Also not really relevant to the game being good or bad, but ffs couldn't they make more than 5 character models? It's just retarded seeing 10+ zombies coming at you all looking exactly the same wearing the same stuff.
TF2 taking no skill;
No headshots.
Running doesn't decrease accuracy.
Crouching doesn't increase accuracy.
Critical hits in an FPS. (I don't see how people can really defend crits, the only thing critical hits can do is make people who would lose win, as the people who win will win anyway)
Firing fully automatic doesn't decrease accuracy, the first shot is just as accurate as the 200th.
No aiming/ironsights etc.
No friendly fire. (I know that this would affect a few classes, but IMO they shouldn't have removed it and just implemented something to make it work. I would have liked to play Spy which is more about skill and trying to blend in with your enemies or whatever, right now it doesn't matter how legit you look people are going to spam half of their ammunition into you as there is no consequence for it, making spy at times being about luck)
Because of this most classes are just constantly spamming.
There is more, but like I said before, you wont change your mind, so I don't see the point in trying to prove a point to you.
I don't have much of a problem with skilled players standing out, as they should as they are skilled. A skilled player should be able to kill a bad player nearly all the time, the bad player will eventually learn how to play better, in TF2 you won't be getting much better as just spamming all the time works quite well ( there are a few other basics, but all in all it's an easy game to master). Also other games can take just as much team work as TF2, just because good players can actually be good at the game doesn't mean there is no team play... And I never minded getting thrashed by a "team" in other games, I actually found the challenge fun and because of this I got better, now I am usually one of the ones who is the "team", when there is a better player I still enjoy the challenge. In BF2 I didn't mind it when my team was stuck to one base and was being base raped (unless this was the carrier and we couldn't take off) It was annoying at times, but I liked trying to break away from the base and then spamming squad invites, and when I was playing with a friend or a good player this is where real team work came in, more than what I have ever seen happen in TF2. In TF2 at times all you need is a demoman/soldier to wipe their defence usually with a medic (healing as a medic isn't that skillfull either) anyways then you just cap or whatever.

Oh god, I can't be fucked putting up with one heavy constantly spamming (haven't really got a problem with them doing it, as they often do need to do that, just another case of TF2 taking shit all skill), won't be able to hear anything for a few weeks.

Damn at it being fake, some of that stuff seems pretty cool, instead of the pistol doing crits to the back it should be to the head (but make it a bit more inaccurate over long ranges) I remember when I was playing in the beta, standing behind a pyro and a scout who were at a dispenser and then stabbing the scout quickly in the back and shooting the pyro in the face. I later realized TF2 was the skilless game that it is and they removed headshots, then after dealing with people spraying their own team all the time as there is no consequence, I gave up and now I rarely play spy.

The backstab reg is terrible, and it's just great when a heavy and medic and a soldier see you so you just run at them head on and stab them all in the faces (as you are going to die anyway) and you get backstabs.
and it's also coz of what Wah said, the animation has to finish before the backstab actually happens, so if you are stabbing someone who turns there is nothing you can do about it and you will die (usually), this is why they should make it instantly or back the way it was before (if you are facing the back when you start it doesnt matter where the knife hits the person, this would often make the victim think they are being face stabbed, which is why valve "fixed" it, what they need to do is fix the actual face stab problem which is what i mentioned before)

I was just thinking, is the D-pad used for anything?
All that is really important about her is the fact that she has 6 fingers/5 and a thumb.
Meh I suppose, I will wait and see, what I was thinking the problem would be is the fact that you are doing 200+ damage quite easily, which would kill any class apart from heavy. Also I can usually get close enough to soldiers, but with soldier basically being the only class that can continue attacking/killing while on fire and still be just as effective, it doesn't really matter and they rarely die from the burning. So it would be good for killing them suppose.Eldu wrote:

Yeah and for them to be on fire you have to be atleast just out of melee range, and as pyro can run faster than everyone but a scout, the pyro can get within melee range pretty easily, pyro's are a CQC anyway so if you always fail at getting close enough then you fail at the class and are probs just spamming flames and running at the enemy, and soldier/demo basically are OP anyway.Eldu wrote:

Though the medic changes are actually pretty kewl.
But the axtuingisher sounds like fun, you still have to get close, so you can still toss him around as soldier/demo, so yeah, overpowered, right.
I don't know how it would turn out, but meh I'll wait and see.
Lik I said, I use axe all the time, and he's not THAT much faster.
So yeah, axing a soldier would be fun, I do it all the time, though usually you don't kill them with one blow and they just shoot at the ground and you get blown off, this axe should make it way more fun .
And about the knock-back thing, I wouldn't really want it that much over another type of unlock, as soldiers will usually kill you in 2 hits so even if you dont get knocked back they will still probably kill you, it would be more effective for demomen though, it would be useful but I would probably prefer something else.
Also I thought the pyro ran the same speed as the medic, which is slightly faster than the rest?
