And aswell, I have only tested it myself. I cant post it anywhere to get people to test it.

I have created a site which allows you to save your "collection of porn links" online, and then access them securly from anywhere. Good if you dont want others to find your link or have a number of computers and such..
The site is online and working, Question is, I dont know how to advertise a PORN site? Any forum you go to, ban you for posting links and seeing as its based around porn, it will be removed without a second though.
I have tried Google ads, But the terms for the site just arnt popular terms.
Any one got any reccomendations?

Downloaded win 7 pro 64 from student webiste and Overall another dissopointing release of a OS. Some good and not so good features, But just starting to re install my stuff and idle on desktop uses 1.3GB. Tons of problems with my sound, partly my fault for not having all the cables for a 5.1 speaker set up, but xp/vista handles it fine.
I have a genuine *cough* copy of windows XP, however I seem to have Misplaced the Key.
I have looked on the disk (as another website told me to find out the version) and i have found: Pid=55274000 which means i have windows xp pro sp 1.
I cant seem to "find" my working key for this... Any one got any advice?

I have notcied that my machine gets rather slow and sometimes freezes and unresposive when I start work on it, I only have 15 windows open, And none of the applcations I have are extreamlly Resouce intensive (Im now running VMware, but its the same before using this too)..
I am using 2.48 GB (1 gb is a virtual machine) out of 4GB, 64x vista, 9550 Quad CPU (20-30% use) ... And explorer seems to be slow, changing windows can cause music to stop, takes awhile to load the new windows and such.. Is this normal.. I am not running out of hardware for this type of thing..
Anything I can do to improve the speed.
On a better note, Im upgrading to Win 7 Pro soon

I have a spare workstation that i want to use as a media/backup server, We have got a 1TB HDD for it so space isnt an issue. I just dont know which software/OS to install to do what we want.
Ideally we need a "full image" of a machine over the network, so that if the OS mucks up, then we can do a roll back, and then partial back ups of data if something happens.
about 4/5 machines will be set up with the workstation. I have tried windows home server which looks alright, but that dosnt do OS backups.
We have a choise of Ubuntu, Windows Home Server, Windows server 2003 and server 2008... Which one would be best?
Thaanks.

Situation:
Turned my machine off last night as usual... My brother *just turned it on and it booted up to bluescreen* and wont turn back on again..
It gets past the XP 64x loading screen and then bluescreen in any safe mode and dosnt display long enufg to get the error message.
I have plugged a hard drive in with preinstalled OS so I have access to the drive and can browse the data on the drive, but i dont know how I can fix it from here. I am trying to see if you can look in the event log for that hard drive, but all i seem to be getting is the event log for the curent OS running.
Any advice.. Cheers as usual.

.Sup, You can do it with installations off torrents and the like, Takes awhile finding one that works with the hardware you have in your machine, Does a alright job when installed, Its alittle slower compared to a offical OS.
I have had it for a few days and then tried to customise it and it fucked up.. Reinstalled XP, bit better.
OnTopic: 10.6 is pretty good, interface wise its pretty much the same, and 10.5 rocks. At least Apple customers get some upgrade discount, Windows upgrade customers dont (AFAIK)

I use ashampoo burning software and it somehow makes normal ISO's bootable...
(by bootable i mean a vista disk, where it says on start up do you want to boot to disk, and the installer)

Genreally people ask for reccomendations on things that are best suited to them, I asked for music headphones and you go telling me gaming headphones when you know they arnt for gaming... And In ear headphones are the small buds that go inside your ear, Not sit ontop of your head.Woyel wrote:

They are pretty good for gaming IMO. BUT if you want to gear music those will not be your best choice. they are maked for games and games only. so you easily can hear you enemies foot steps and stuff,
but they don't have a very good bass, so if you are hearing music it wont be as good as it can bee.
and BTW its an old headset now, i dont know if they made a new version with better sound but you can try a look at http://www.steelseries.com/int
cheers though.
I recently had a senhiesser (whatever) CX500 which were great for me, but they broke. I am ow looking for a new pair of in ear headphones to use with my Ipod. Bass and noise cancelation is quite important for me. £10 - £25
I am looking for one with a warranty on, and quite a long one at that, I see to go through headphones a pair evey 6 or so months so I wnan inverst in a warranty that i can just get them replaced under.
Any reccomendations?

If you want to save yourself some money you could always buy a battery <£5 on ebay and fit it.
I know the warranty.. inside and out.Noobeater wrote:

I have had a look at the Dell servers, but im not convinced... Its not worth the extra £100 - £200 for the equilivant with the only bonus of a warranty..

I kinda expected MORE from this place, with the computer enthusiats around here... Yeah you can built it at Dell.com but you pay allot more for allot less, That is one of the main reasons computer focused people BUILD machines.
I need a new pc, mainly used as a server/workstation, Just running a virtual machine and sql server so 8GB of RAM.
Budget is £500, quite/enery efficiant as possible would be good and no need for any fancy stuff. Overclockers/Ebuyer are good.
no OS needed, using windows server 08
thanks.

Pretty stupid... At least one browser should be pre installed. Setting up windows takes long enuhg as it is, without silly things like this.
This method dosnt remove music and data on the Ipod. This just resets the device.max wrote:

If the device is under 1 Year old then the warranty would cover a replacement Ipod, If its over (without APP) then they wont issue a replacement and would have to buy a new one in the event that the device breaks.elite.mafia wrote:

I have a sennheiser HD-202 headphones which when I plug into the headphone port (top and motherboard port) gives out a very high pitch squeal. The squeal changes tone and pauses based on something happening on the OS, EG: I close FireFox and the tone stops then carries on again.
I have just tested the speakers plugged into my machine and it also happens on there, just.. its not as noticeable, and have tried the headphones in another machine and they don't have the problem.
I am assuming this is because of a on board sound card and issues as i have disabled the sound on the OS in hardware tools and the problem still happens. How could this be fixed? Would getting new sound card work?

Hey.
I have this survey to do for college and it requires serval (4) users of computers to fill it out. Thought I may as-well get valid results than making them up. If you have a few minutes to fill it out, I would be grateful.
The questions can apply to any HCI related device tbh. Ipod/Laptop/DVD player...

Just turned my PC on this morning, however normally the fans on the card spin up and then back down but today they just span up and didn't go back down, and no video output to my screens. I have tried a different card and its fine, so now i need to rma the gts.
Just went on to the BFG site and few things:
In the warranty it said i have to register it on their site 30 days after purchase. I haven't. Will that be a problem?
I dont really want to send it to the US, do they?
I cant find the S/N on the card. I have looked online and many other owners have this problem.
I brought the card in may 08.
Should i stick with BFG Rma service or overclockers?
thanks.

Im looking for something similar to ranger ( http://www.rangersuite.com/products_des … on/rfn/how )
I want to maintain an OS on the central server, and then allow multiple users to connect to it, and any changes made on the central server are reflected on the clients computers.
Or have I got that wrong?

Im looking for an application/OS/setup which will allow me to have what you do at college/school where you get a log in and have your own user area and stuff for a home set up.
We have a min of 8 PCs connected to our network and was just wondering if it would be better have a local server that can do the above and set up the OS on each PC to connect to the server using their user-name and pass.
I have Server 08 but haven't seen how to do it yet.
Any ideas?

Just a question: What happens to people who have braught Vista? Do they expect people to buy Windows 7 aswell?? Do they get anything ?
As far as i am aware as i have tried doing this aswell, most ways of doing this only broadcast the channel being displayed on the main box, IE the transmitter.
The only way to view multiple channels from diffrent places is... *think* to get multiple boardcasing boxes and get your house set up with extra cables.

nice new computer. you can forget about GTA4 though. that game doesn't run well for...well, anybody. FC2 and Fallout 3 will be maxed out (assuming you play at 1680x1050, because I can max them out on my monitor).
To play this on highest setting you need graphics of 10GB +ceslayer23 wrote:
