I don't mind that for tanks. I know it isn't so realistic, but when the other side has a dominant pilot shredding everything up the battle can get kind of lopsided and frustrating. Nothing worse than driving a tank and getting 50 meters out of your base only to be destroyed by a jet. AA I'm not so worried about because at least it can attack the jet back.Snake wrote:

Anyone else think it is time to ditch modern warfare (for a game) and bring back a proper sequel to 1942 (and '43 i guess)?

i agree. in bf2 the size of the maps worked with how much work you were willing to put in. even on big maps i could manage to cap most if not all of the flags myself, and because they were so far apart you had time to do it. now i run and cap a flag and by the time i'm on the next flag the enemy is already recapturing the first one. it feels very COD like now. small areas and who draws fastest wins.Superior Mind wrote:
Larger maps. The waste of land on Caspian and Firestorm is ridiculous. The zone that contains flags is only like 30% of the usable map. Project Reality had maps that were way bigger and designed with actual artistic and technical skill.
On some of the larger BF2 maps I had a sense of being in a massive play space. In BF3 the scope of sensation feels very narrow.

There another more amazing story which is less personal, but I'll post t when I get some more time.
bah! i hate having minimum number of players to start. it'll be harder to fill servers if rounds aren't playing and only 1 person is in there.
does that also mean if you have 4 and 1 leaves the round stops?

i have very similar dreams, i've bashed the absolute crap out of people with no effect, i smash chairs into them and ram their face into the ground and they get up like i've given them a gentle tap. and yer... in 9/10 in sex dreams i wake up just before i get to "put it in" lol.
i even have one similar to the car one, i've had it about 4 or 5 times since i was a kid. even now i'm still a kid in the dream and my mum parks the car on a steep street and gets out, i wait for her in the car and it starts rolling back down the hill. no matter if i use the brake pedal or hand brake nothing happens, but i always wake up before it crashes into something.

yeah sure, it's an exaggeration by robin williams.. but you know, it's kind of his job to do that.
if you lived in bali you would drink bottled water.
i buy bottled water occasionally. but i refill it with tap water (even though the bottle says not for re-use!)

well for single player it is obviously 100x better. multiplay bf2.

still, that doesn't mean that some viable embryos or healthy fetuses aren't making it to term (even 1% of total rejections would still be in the millions).FEOS wrote:
The majority of miscarriages are due to the embryos being non-viable. There are no tests being done (like CVS or Pre-implantation diagnosis) to ensure that the embryos being used for stem cell research wouldn't be viable.
who cares about embryonic stem cells. they have created induced pluripotent stem cells that do exactly the same thing.
but regardless, with all the fertilized eggs that never actually join to the uterus and then the countless miscarriages at whatever stages of the pregnancy (this number would be in the billions if not trillions) why not use embryonic stem cells? "gods" or natures system certaintly doesn't give a shit about embryos.

well it's their kids, they can do whatever the hell they want with them. i don't agree with it, but i'd hate for someone to tell me i can't raise my kids as atheists so why would i want to infringe on someone elses right to raise their kids how they want?
considering something like 30-60% of fertilized eggs aren't even implanted in the uterus i suppose god's own system is inherently unethical no?Harmor wrote:

as long as i have been debating religious topics one thing keeps coming up in defence of christianity (and probably other religions) and that is the statement that the bible should only be a guide and not actually taken as the literal truth.
now all i want to know is, has this always been the case and just some christians took the message to far or at one point in time was the bible literal and then after scientific discovery it has slowly evolved into a book of fables?

i think he has a good point, i think permission should be asked first, but you can't stop people taking pictures of you, what if you take a picture of a beach? are you going to go down and ask everyone on the beach if it is cool for you to take the photo? what if you want to sell that photo? does everyone have to give consent?
i suppose the only way to argue that is there would have to be a degree of recognisability, such as 20 feet away without a zoom is the closest you can take a photo of someone for distribution without consent. who knows.

i'm suprised obama hasn't imploded in on himself with all of his paradox's. his muslim "background" will make him pro palestine, his israeli influence will make him pro israel and his rev wright and bill ayes influences will make him a bat shiat crazy pro black anti white christian terrorist.
my GOD do you know why there is no outcry? because this guy has no more room for speculative influences, everything has been thrown at him and nothing has stuck.
also obama is pro basketball so watch out NFL!

since when is having sex on a public beach apart of "their own laws and values" or any westerners? it is usually prohibited in western countries, it has nothing to do with them trying to impose their values on dubai, they simply broke the law which is also a law in their own country.Braddock wrote:
That's the often heard claim from the usual suspects on these boards and further afield. "Muslims come over to our countries and expect to live by their own laws and values even though they're not compatible with our way of life" and so on and so on.

push ups are the only exercise i do, atm i'm doing 90 but it takes me a few days to recover because i haven't done them for awhile. but last week when i started up i made 80 for the first session (in about a month and a half of doing no pushups). i could probably make somewhere between 110 and 120 but ive never tried to go beyond 90 lately (and never past 110 at my peak).
also its a mental thing, when i'm doing 90 and i make it to 50 i know i'm past halfway. but if i aim for 100, when i hit 50 i think "fuck ive got another 50 to go..!"

people mostly know the laws that will effect them in their day to day lives, road rules for example. most discussion on here is either hypothetical or whimsical opinions, no one here is an activist for anything. at least to the extent that they need to know the laws involved in their cause.Vilham wrote:

don't they know dogs work for the police? does that mean if whichever muslims are complaing happen to be in a burning building they wouldn't want the police dogs to drag them out (hypothetically of course)? dogs are unclean..? yeah to eat maybe, i assume unclean is another word for unfit or undesirable? dogs have lived with humans for what 6000 years or more, apart from eating them most cultures don't see dogs as unclean.
