Im sure you jailbreak it then do something with "baseband" which i think is a piece of software that unlocks the phone

so whats the best option, downgrading to a different firmware? if so which one?

Ok, basicially I've just got a iphone 3GS for my girl. Now she wants it tomorrow as she is dying for it. Its a iphone 3gs on 4.0.1. The only thing I have jailbroken before was my iPod touch but that was way back on something like 3.1.

So just wondering what are the steps needed to jailbreak and unlock the phone. Thanks.

Guinness is filthy. Maybe coz im not Irish. I don't get the rave about it. Fosters is lovely, aint stong in taste and is nice to the mouth, plus its usually £1 a pint on student night out lol

I work in retail/hospitality and help myself to like 10 drinks a shift lol. So a long list by the looks of it.

ok, I am after a new car. I'm 21, past for 17 months on a clean licence. Now I have been a second driver on my car, a honda civic 1.6 esi auto. My mum was first so it was cheaper to insure. But I now need a new car as the engine is starting to make funny noises and I fancy a change.

I want a convertible so me and my mates can have a good cruise in or out of town. My budget is £1500 max. The car must be decent looking and cheap to insure. Age is not a concern as long as it looks the part. Don't want no rover 216 lol.

What sort of car fits into the bill?

BTW ideally 5 seater but 4 would be ok

Yeah, she will be the only person, but don't tag her. I don't know if it will show up in her photos, but to be on the safe side, don't tag her.

Fair enough. Won't tag her but will text/comment on her page to let her know its up.

you certainly can, when you upload a photo you get asked about privacy. Also on the privacy tab you can block people from see your albums and tagged stuff.

Hmmmmm so If I tagged her, can she block my manager from seeing just these photos? She has nearly 4000 photos. So can she just block the 5/6 she will be tagged in?

I want to upload a few photos from work that a coleague wants to see. Now I want to tag her on these photos. The thing is I want to hide these photo's from people, especially my manager. Now my friends also has my manager on her friends list.

Now I know you can hide photos from certain people, but since I will be tagging my friend, if I hide the photos from these people will they be able to see these photos on my friends photo page?

Basically I got my HTC tattoo on a 2 year contract for £15 a month with 200 minutes and unlimited texts. I kind of just want a new phone but want to keep my sim so I can use my contract on a different phone. Plus its only £5 extra for unlimted internet for which I would go for if I get a decent phone.

What are you using it for?  Just general call/text?  Blackberries are pretty popular here, I dunno if you'd want one though

I don't want to jump on the blackberry bandwagon. God 95% of people I know have them.

I use my phone HTC tattoo for internet, texts, facebook and applications/games. Stuff like that tbh. I would jump on another android phone such as the nexus one or droid but they are more expensive than the iPhone.

Ok, here is the deal. I currently have a HTC tattoo. I like it but I feel its neglected on the Android OS as the stuff on the market is limited. Now because I have a iPod touch (which btw doesn't work properly thanks to OS 3.0) I don't find the HTC tattoo as sleek as the iPod.

So after looking around I have decided I want a top end phone. Now I have my eye's on either the iPhone 3GS or the Palm Pre. I would go for the Nexus one but thats looking at over £400

So the iPhone 3GS are about £400 on eBay whilst the Palm Pre are around £250-£300. Now  big difference in price but which from the 2 phones is best?

Btw will consider any good phone at £300 tops

orly? I guarantee 99% of the Jews living in Israel right now were born there. It's their home. Moving them to Germany or Russia would be as alien to them as moving them to Derby would be. I say we settle them all in Derby.

99% I doubt it. The younger generation are born there but their parents or grandparents are most likely immigrants. Returning to their country of origin is the best option if they want to part of the EU.

Now I'm confused. Did a bit of look up of the prices of copper and silver as of now. Copper is just over 3.33 USD/lb and Silver is over US $17.5/oz. Did some converting and 17.5 oz comes out as 1.09375 lb. Surely thats wrong, which suggests silver is far cheaper, or am I doing something wrong?

Ok last few questions. I'm writing a technical report on copper. I'm after inforation that describes the price of copper over the last few years. I have found diagrams but I need words. Also I need to find the cost ratio of copper to other materials in use of application i.e. comparing cost of silver with copper in electrical use etc.

I know it sounds alot but my assingment is massive and these are just little bits I'm in need of help of.

Ok, I'm contemplating on getting one of these phones on contract. Which from these 2 is best?

The Hero is a android phone and is £25 a month (cheapest with phone free, 24 month contract), whilst Touch 2 is a windows 6.5 phone and is £20 £15 a month (cheapest with phone cost of £30, 24 month contract).

So, which one?
