In the couple of weeks I've stayed in NYC there always seems to be a heat advisory or flash flooding warning. It's just hot or raining ...

I use Spotify for on the go streaming, but they have far from everything. In the end, a bunch of files on my PC is the best experience for me.
It would suggest that, but it could also be RAM/CPU/ accessories problem. Reset BIOS, test each RAM stick individually, or even better with known working ram, unplug everything that isn't essential.
Dual citizenship Used to live in Switzerland, now in Germany. My feelings towards Switzerland in general have really cooled off over the last few years.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

That's the one statement that is guaranteed to produce a shitstorm over there. But yeah, pretty much.coke wrote:

This should be fun. When Germany won, there were celebrations in the streets all night. If they win again, sleep should be impossible.

Yes. Faster RAM is not a problem. It'll just run @ 1333MHz.

Don't trust RAID to protect your data. A single HDD dying isn't the only way data gets lost. I've learned that the hard way. Had a failing PSU fry all my HDDs and obliterate 10TB of data.
So, save your stuff to a second location. Online, HDD, DVD, tape, whatever. I've heard good things about crashplan, but I have no personal experience.

Latest BIOS?

Is there something like tasker for OSX? What I'd like to do is run SABnzbd+ and sickbeard when I connnect to a certain wlan, turn on bluetooth and turn off wlan when I connect to a monitor and stuff like that. Ideas?
Either use
- multiple normal cards
- one of those AMD eyefinity cards
- one normal card and a TripleHead2Go
Multiple normal cards is probably going to be the cheapest and most elegant solution.

newzbin2 is dead. This makes me a sad panda

Important stuff to the same external HDD and the cloud.

Already running it on my laptop and in the form of Server 2012 on my server. Used to the metro start menu now. Storage Spaces is pretty neat.

My Galaxy Nexus has a dual core, I think. My iPad 1G has a single core.

Does anyone know if storage spaces works or if it eats all your data? Thought I'd rebuild my server with my old i7 920, stick in a bunch of disks and use that win8 pseudo raid 5. Thoughts?

Saw The Expendables 2 yesterday. Lots of manly guys shooting bad guys in the face. I approve.
JB seems to have made my Galaxy Nexus much smoother
If it works fine is safe mode, chances are windows is fucked somehow.
The famous "it just works" in action.
Just updated to 4.1.1 on my GN. Google now seems pretty sweet
picked up a refurb iPod 5.5 with a 240GB disk. Finally all the space I could ever want and rockbox. Now my other mp3 player can go die in a fire with their small storage space and crappy itunes.

It's great. Go see it. If you don't like it then you are probably emotionally crippled in some way.
If you want to transfer files over the network faster than at 100Mbit, then yes. Otherwise not so much. Also the other PCs will need Gigabit NICs and you'll need a gigabit switch.
Well they may have some driver that's not posted on the website or know about the issue and how to correct it.Eifa wrote:

Doesn't come to the cinemas until August here. Damn euro 2012. I want to see aliens not people kick a ball around.
Saw Moonrise Kingdom yesterday. I thought it was the best film I've seen in some time, everyone else thought it was a little meh. Take from that what you will.
I guess I'll keep my R500 forever then. And there I was planning for some Ivy Bridge goodness
