Havent posted here in 8months. But wanted feedback on one of my COD4 servers. On a popularity scale, which map would ya'll play - settings and so forth.
And yes I kinda retired from BF2, sometimes play in our Krackland.
We've been doing good and thanks for those that still come to our *TA* BF2 Servers.

I do. We didnt work hard for almost 2 years to fill that and we are known for the servers. Obviously people know a good server and want to copy us exact, I see it in BF2 and 2142, this is re-occuring. Sometimes people want to 'copy' you to gain some of your 'business'. SOme of these people here that posted have no idea what it takes to run a popular server and just to have it copied by someone else so they can have it populated without any work on thier own, as some of our regulars and people know us by the Madness. This was copied exact. If this person wants to copy us, stand in line. Unfortunately I have to go through EA to get it Marked as a non-usable but for us.The_Killer wrote:

This is basically a clan that wants to populate their servers without doing the work to get it populated. Its basically me naming my servers Moongamers or Addicted-2-Games.

Yes its the downfall unfortunately. But hella fun! If you've ever played a full 64/16, its a nadefest but once you get in close they dont have time to throw them, kinda like snipers when you rush, they have to throw nades at thier feet. I mistakenly had Oman at that once on our rotation and people loved it, but once I changed it.. no one came back because of the ticket drain. ...that I use for scrims and flying and mods. I use this server as our Night Maps long ago; So I want to bring it back because we have 4 others doing well. Im a big fan of SF and I look at the server list and see thousands of Warlords and Ghost Towns but none of the other - and if there is the other , its usually stacked or rapeage galore.
I played Mass D on IO once and had a blast, Im wondering why no one else sees the fun in Mass. I dont like Mass when it has good pilots as infantry and tanks wont last long and its only fun for 4 people.
Night Maps I love, but Leviathan I can do without. Unfortunately the NM fanbase is rare and only attracts a limited amount of people.
I put vBF2 64m/16size maps as a joke. And before it did the infamous crash, it actually did well, but no one ever returned. Talk about your nadefest...holy shit.... 64 people between 3 flags.....my goodness, the 100 tickets lasted about 3 seconds, but fun once the nadefest idled a bit.
So my question is, what would you play out of those 3; I'd hate to move it to a Sharqi, or just take it down, but figured why not use it for SF or something fun.

I like =SF= Warlord. The other warlords have asshat admins, that wanna make people glitch.
PTG is good with vehicles, not with IO though. Keep it Vehicles.
If you wait for a vehicle maybe you should be teamkilled. Waiting is worse than tking.

Hell their leader uses hacks and believes no one should be in the sky but him and if they are losing, they pause or restart the server - they say (and its true) : "Its our server, we pay for it and run it how we want, if you want to kick people for your jet, donate and you become admin" .. ROFL.. My thing is that the idiots that keep going there to help them populate it, I dont blame the dA clan, I blame the people going there because they know they are going to get kicked for stupid shit. Without other populating it dA wouldnt even have a server.

Fuck it.. this weekend Its a NIGHT MAPS Extravaganza, I just got a woody, our glitching Warlord Server is gonna be moved Tommorrow to Night Maps Madness.
Problem is all the babies dont have thier jets and cry because "My computer cant handle the Dark, and Im afraid" So it doesnt get populated; but I'll bring some troops hopefully.
We had our NM' s up to 60 people before, but it fails during weekdays thats why I only make it NM once every 2 months; and its a bitch to fill; and Leviathan loses alot of people, the best part about that map is the Sub Pen anyway.

Idiot. IO's or not IO's anyone can say the same about ..erm.. lets see.. Pilots...all they do is circle and drop bombs; its like NASCAR which isnt fun going in circles. Before IO came out I was always on ground, I dont like vehicles because 98.7% of the time you are tk'd for it, before you start judging stats like a little brat think of it as a game; typical idiot who judges off stats. I play IO and Vehicles the same, In a Vehicle its too easy, Hell you dont even have to have a good commander, I can play in a vehicle and fly, mind you, while arguing with my wife and changing channels on the T.V., hard? I was IO before IO came out.. because I constantly was tked for vehicles.. so I made it a point to be a Derka - even to teammates if so choose to. But I agree with that there are too many IO's and that it needs a filter to search out the IO's, I like all types of maps, all types of variety - whether vehicles or not. The only thing a vehicle is good for is getting from point A to point B, including Jets,APC's and Tanks - they are rolling coffins.Im_Dooomed wrote:

Eh.. I just made a 24/7 Mass Destruction IO.. the Vehicles were cool, but I found its ALOT more fun in IO, holy cow its better than Warlord and Ghost Town actually! The Chemical Factory is alot of fun. But I'll try this one out, we enjoyed it for the time it was live.. unfortunately SF is dying a slow death. *tear*

Night maps are really fun, Im not too fond of Leviathan though. Warlord is the best map by far, Night Flight is really nice and Ghost Town is easy if you have people knowing what to do.
If Night Flight was a day map and 'dusty atmosphere' like Karkand and Warlord it would have become the best infantry map in BF2. Even though Im not a vehicle person I think EA should have released a map with a jet or two in it, but I guess the Insurgents couldnt afford one.

Someone said it wont happen with a 24 slot server, chopper rape - people wise. 16 player map you dont have the chopper all the fighting is inside the Ship. 32-64 player maps there is no difference.

4. Infantry sonar? usually if you're detected by it, it means you can also hear the audio beep, much like a spawn beacon...try using this to your advantage. Last point: far more squadwork in this game. DONT MAKE ME LAUGH, AGAIN SMALL SERVER. just early this afternoon got some good squads sticking together. When one guy takes the initiative, the others follow suit (i.e., give damn orders).
Support is more superior than medic, you have to get close with the Voss to make it fair, all the LMG's have hardly any recoil and I can kill someone twice as far with the LMG than with the Voss, Baur? who in the hell uses that?! You'd be sniped out if you were even thinking about single shot; and the recoil is so bad even if someone is 2 inches in front of you. Support knows where you are at even without a commander - hide? I think not, tell me what a medic can do? Hell we all know they dont revive. If you can hear that sonar you have to be right up on it, and if you can hear it with all the nades, the apms the zellars, the rattling of weapons, the commander bullshit, then you have the best ears in the world. You dont move in a full server you are a snipers lunch ticket.
Lets face it, the best weapons are Zeller, Voss and Shuko. Best addons is by far the infantry sonar. Even for a small server, by the time you find me, I've already found you.

Actually tried this a few months back and people loved it, but they were bitching about the small tickets and constant negative scores for nadefests. But .. until I find a good rotation... have fun.

They made mistakes with the BETA, I played it and it was horrid. So they rushed the release- then you had people exploiting the shit out of it on the TITAN maps - so they fixed that...twice, Then thier unlocks sucked but two - The LMG's were better (and still) than HMG's, so they fixed that. You call that balancing. Look back at BF2's and 42's patches and tell me balance. They are just fixing thier fuckups. Now you are saying its balanced? As many of you know NM didnt take off as well as I planned. But we always do the NM once a month to see who we can get and if there are enough to populate it, well once again it didnt. But I know SF is slowly dying a slow death in the BF2 world, I can only find a few servers worth playing and even then... It not a choice of "I want a server popular" because I have 7 of them, its the case of "What do the people of BF2 want besides Karkand and Wake ( we have both by the way)".
I was going to close this server down and just save the bandwidth, but I hear crys of wants again...Hell some of you know I tried every 24/7 map once about 7-8 months ago, laughingly Stalemate was good for about 25 people but it still is the most fun I've ever had in any one map, the most boring was WAKE IO...jeebuz..And all you thought Surge was bad in IO!
Since we have 5 BF2 Original servers (Jalalabad, Karkand, Wake, Dragon Valley and All Mapper) I figured Why not a SF one, since we had a Decon ( its dead by the way, fun for 3 weeks as usual Mods) why not move it to SF?

Every fighter has lost, none of those "I've never lost a fight" - because probably you havent been in many. Back in the '70's and 80's it was fists and switches, now its who has the biggest gun and can pull it faster. If you fight over the age nowadays expect some ass raping in jail and your pocketbook gone. But I guess if you kids are still in school.. hell fist fight, its always fun and awesome to watch, especially when girls fight. All us older folk can do is either go to court/jail, go to a mosh pit or play hockey if we want to fight.
