I think that as long as you can keep supplying a valid student .edu email address, you can keep getting Prime at the student rate. Some colleges/universities will let you keep it indefinitely, while some automatically deactivate it after a certain amount of time. Depends on where you go and their policy.

I have a tough time getting into it, admittedly.

I just have all these games from the recent Humble Bundles and my time for playing games in general is short, as I've got a 6 month old that likes to take up my time. Not that I'm complaining, of course.

Yeah, we have to complete assignments to get the next batch of camos, and the weapon camos are for the same four weapons in the previous update.

Ha! Wait until you guys see the camo drop for Premium players. We got trolllllllllled.

I think we just got trolled by DICE. The camo drop for the Premium players are for the same four guns as before, and you have to do assignments to unlock them.

Does anybody know why, at the end of a Gun Master round, you always end up with these Additional Points that get added at the end? I'm talking that points that show up even after you get the various ribbon points.

Yeah I actually just looked this up. You have to equip the shotty to your engi and then get the kills, otherwise it doesn't count toward the Assignment.

I'm really digging this expansion, much more than I thought I would. The Gun mode is more fun than I thought it would be and the expansion in general lends itself to using shotguns, which I find immensely fun to use.

I was hoping some of you could help me out with the optimal settings for my current rig.

Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit
AMD X3 720 at 3 Ghz
4 GB ram
Gigabyte HD 6850
1280 x 1024 resolution
Drivers up to date

I'm running mostly High settings with 30-50 fps, but more lately the frames drop pretty heavily below 30 fps during play. My goal would be to stay smoothly above 30 fps even during intense battles. I have also turned off the one AA setting that heavily impacts AMD cards, can't remember which one it is though (MSAA maybe).

Rather than dropping every setting to medium, which I would definitely rather not do, I was hoping for some information on which particular settings would net me the most fps gain by dropping them to medium.

Any thoughts, musings, or clever anecdotes would be much appreciated. Especially from people with a similar setup.

I don't know, maybe I'm missing this "Premium and not Premium" animosity.

When I see someone that killed me with Premium in their killcam, it says to me that they spent $50 just like me on something that may or may not actually be worth it.

I really don't know what the big deal is. Maybe I'm so jaded lately that I refuse to get worked up about a video game anymore.

The main reason is that now I've got some good fronts (Definitive Technology BP7006), I need to connect them with proper speaker wire.

Maybe I should be more clear: The people running these states are fucks, but the states themselves I have no problem with. I wouldn't mind visiting any of them, but I would never live in them in their present state.

Sooo, taking on the Dragon Priest Rahgot at level 17 is not one of my more brilliant choices. Probably should have read about the quest before going into the dungeon. If I can beat him, it'll probably take something like a half hour and me running away to heal and recharge constantly.
