well see i'd love to do all the BIOS stuff but there is absolutely nothing displayed. i tried three different monitors and my cousins laptop and nothing shows up on any. and theres no integrated GPU. nany other suggestions?

i just got my computer today and it is broken already

ibuypower.com sent me a computer with an improperly installed heat sink/fan for CPU (Thermaltake V1) and then (having fixed the fan to actually spin) i try to connect the computer to a monitor (Viewsonic Optiquest 20") and it doesn't register the input and shows a NO SIGNAL ANALOG box on the blank monitor. can anyone help?

the knife is like a K-BAR thus it's a combat knife before it is a bayonet, and can you find the line "You were killed by (someguy)" and add the weapon name after that? so it is "You were killed by (someguy) [weapon name]"

any moderators reading this sorry for duplicating this thread but the other one (Can't change loc files HELP!) was a different thread about my inability to save the setting i had changed. i duplicated this thread in another section because absolutely NO ONE seems to know how to do this and i wanted to find help elsewhere. if you know or can find someone who knows how to do this please for the love of god direct them right here. thank you and sorry once again for duplicating.

this is the file I'm looking to change so that my game tells me what gun i was killed with right next to the name of the guy. i want it to show the name of the weapon.

but that line does not work, does anyone know what line works and actually says the weapon name?

mine says this now: You were killed by S0|v|3_|\|0oBz [#weapon#] and not the actual weapon name, it just says weapon.

does anyone have this changed on their BF2 to do this and if so, what is the right line change?

lol, after reading this thread i spent like four hours of my dya trying to find out f the F-35B had thrust vectoring (not for VTOL). i then when and spent some time rethinking my life. . .

BASICALLY, lol, there is no chance of surviving a fight with a joy user with k/b and mouse, unless you are 4ssault, who is amazing with mouse and key. macros don't either, they just make it easier, no?

ok it's a crutch, agreed, but then so is a joystick. it's not fair that you can do 3 things with one key right? then it's not fair that you can drop flares, and roll with one stick and 1 button instead of flinging the mouse around and jamming keys. but it's not a hack, i wouldn't call it cheap. merely advantageous.

macros are cheap

then joysticks are cheap too, i have to reposition my mouse ever 3 damn seconds and turn slow when all you have to do is move a stick around. TVing? i have to click all over the place and because of crappy programing most of the clicks don't even register. this is stupid; hacks are hacks but i would not consider a macro a hack. advantageous, yes, but advantageous like a joystick, anyone can use them and it's easier to play the game. i don't have either a joy or a macro enabled k/b or mouse so this is coming from a person who uses neither. i would be just as pissed if i got macro'd as i would when i get downed by joystick users. you are not breaking the game as with hacks, merely using an external system to gain an advantage. i'm not say they are or are not cheap but it is unfair to call out one external hardware and not all others.

i know you CAN edit it, otherwise how owuld people add the stupid +2 global crap at the end of kill messages? so it's just something i'm missing

ok cool, either way it's something to to with the silly symbol and the 1 and 0, the cs and stuff are the color

first of all, it's on the top left, second: so i don't have to search through the little text, looking for a name and a gun in a quickly scrolling list of names and guns

what? i'm not trying to change weapon names or anything, i just want the game to tell me what weapon 9x) killed me with right next to his name like so: you were killed by (x) - [weapon]

i am trying to get the game to show what weapon i was killed with next to the "You were killed by (name here)" message 9so it will end up you were killed by (name) - [weapon]

i've added this [#weapon#] thinking it will display the weapon there, it does not, it just shows that: (name) [#weapon#]

what can i change it to to show me the weapon i was killed with?

When this happens, over the course of a few days, you may see little to no relevant updates to your stats. This is not because any stats are lost or broken, and you should see normal processing continue once the catch-up processing is complete.
