I am currently in a server where the missles are simply not firing. The round has been going for about 10 minutes, and both titans have 100% shields.

The best kill streak of ten means you need to have had the best kill streak in a single round ten times.
The explosive pin seems to only work off of RDX kills, not APM kills.

Phortune
Easiest way I found was this:
Play any titan map, you can try for knife kills on the ground before the shields go down, if you can get 1 or 2, that makes the titan defense a bit easier, but once the shields are down pod to the second level of the back of your titan, drop into one of the little hallways and stand where the little jut comes out of the wall facing the hole. The second you see someone drop in slightly move foward, drop prone, and slice with the knife. It will almost always be a kill.
After a couple of kills they will begin with dropping nades, if you are at the jut you should be able to back off and then reposition yourself. Be assault and have a medic pack down by you, so if they get off any shots you can be back to full for the next one.
This method is incredible if they have alot pressing the offense, and you have people defending the consoles, as you could be up there knifing for 20 minutes.

I understand the ranks and rewards are a little bonus, but damn, they are not the reason for playing. If you don't enjoy the game enough to play it if there wasn't any of that tracking, you probably shouldn't be playing it anyways.
I downloaded this and would love to get it working, but I no longer have a system tray icon for the program. I need to change the .exe name but can't because I can't access the options any longer.
I have only recieved about 1/10th of the awards I have earned since the game went live on Wednesday. There are some severe problems that EA/DICE need to deal with, and everyone should be sending them support emails questioning when this is going to be fixed or minimally, when they are going to simply acknowledge the problem.
First off, mechs like that wont exist for combat, they are completely illogical with a poorly distributed mass and balance. No need to bust through armor if you simply drill a leg with force and knock it down.
Mechs also have much too large of a surface area. If an army has the ability to deliver armaments in a smaller package, they most definitly will. Having huge targets that peek over buildings is not a good idea. Also, the shape of "joints" is hugely detrimental, as a shell hitting that section will apply 100% of its force to the mech, as there is no way to deflect any of the force.
Tanks will always be tanks, the design is the best available way to deliver the munitions they do. The things that will change are the fueling, armor, mobility system and armaments used.

Most of the people that rent servers blow cock at the game, and do it so they are afforded some leverage. It's incredibly sad what some admins do to try to make themselves feel better about their lack of skill.
Easiest place to do it BY FAR is 64 player size warlord on a 16 player server. You want the situation where 1 side of the palace is yours, and 1 is the enemies (or both could be enemies, its just faster if you are closer).
Since everything is so congested in there, just run around the spawn with knife out and stab anything you see. I saw a guy get 20 knife kills before either side was down to 150 tickets.

Wow Teocrazia, you are either fucking retarded or on an exhorbitant amount of drugs.
Two simple checks:
Team score higher than combat score? If yes, player is a medic point whore, more interested in diving for a revive than killing the guy standing two feet away (this is backed up by his mediocre K ratio).
Over 25% of global score made up of revive score? If yes, player is a revive whore with no regards to actual logical play.
If he is the incredible hero you describe, his K ratio should be much higher.

I love all the fucking idiots that bash EA. They are the biggest gaming software corporation in the world. Regardless of what anyone says or thinks, THEY ARE IN IT FOR THE MONEY, as is every corporation. They honestly do not care about quality, as long as the bottom line looks good, and as long as the lack of quality does not lead to diminishing profits.
That said, EA continues to put out some incredibly great games. I am a huge EA fan and will continue to buy their products.
Does EA treat some of their employees like shit? Yes. If you can find me a company as big as EA that doesn't, I would love to hear about it. A large portion of EA's employees are a dime a dozen, if you cant hack it, GET THE FUCK OUT. You dont bring in $3.2 BILLION a year by trying to be everyones best friend.

Not a stat padder, and truthfully, he isnt even good. He simply plays 100% for the points, which is ok everyonce in a while, but to do it for 670 hours? Where is the fun in that?
I imagine most of the people that play with him get pissed because I guarentee you he is one of those guys that continues to revive you over and over from around a corner when you got a .50 cal nonstop pounding your corpse.

Was just going for this badge, ended up with like 18 ground defense kills, but didn't get the badge
Many of you foreigners are attacking a country based on the posts of 12 year old nerds that will never have sex. That demographic is an extreme minority, and simply shows your ignorance. If you want to attack a country you need to look at the big picture.
It's also funny that Berserk_Vampire likes 'teasing the States' with McDonalds, when Canada has 0.352 McDonalds Restaurants per 10,000 people, which is the third highest country in per capita restaurants (behind New Zealand @ 0.369 and the US @ 0.433).
CO2 emissions have also been talked about here. The US does have the highest output, but there are reasons for that:
America also has the largest GDP in the world. The US has a GDP of nearly $13 trillion, making up more than 1/5th of the world's GDP. This figure is one of many used to determine economic performance, and although by itself it doesn't mean that much, it does carry some weight and a comparison may help you visualize our production. The sum of the EU (Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Denmark, Ireland, United Kingdom, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia) just barely edges out that of the US. I am not denying that some of what America does could be considered amoral, but most people don't look at the good that comes from it, or the countering good things America does. We do not live in a utopia, and the good will always be offset by the bad. I am sick of people bashing America without considering any of the problems with their own country. America is a young nation, and is becoming more and more concious of the world view every day.
There are days when I am not proud to be an American, where my government has taken actions I personally wouldn't agree with, but there is not much I can do. Regardless of who you vote for, you don't have much of a say on their actual policy. I am sick of people blaming those that voted for Bush for everything he has done in office. That's the same as blaming every German for the actions of Hitler and the Nazi party. Worx, do you want us all to believe that you and your ancestry are personally responsable for the Holocaust?

Several people have mentioned the Kyoto Protocol in regards to emissions, but none have happened to mention Australia, the second highest country in per capita co2 emissions, which also is not a ratafied party of the Kyoto Protocol. Many of you that have mentioned it seem to lack full knowledge of how it works. In reality, it wouldn't reduce the global co2 emissions because countries such as China and India are exempt from it. This means that countries will outsource production that causes these gases to those unrestricted countries. This makes no economical sense to the US.Many people are aware that the USA is the world's largest producer of Carbon Dioxide. This is partly because it has the highest material wealth in the world, in total and on a per person basis. But it also suffers from a relatively extreme continental climate, with bitterly cold winters away from the coast and blisteringly hot summers. Much energy is used in heating and cooling buildings. Americans are also famous for their love of the automobile. Petrol (gasoline) is, by European standards, very cheap, and many American cities are widely spread out, causing inhabitants to drive long distances to work or to shop.

I don't think I will ever get the expert badge, especially now that they are removing the ability to throw packs while in the air, that means C4 placement will be extremely limited.
The booster is for the vanilla version of the game, it is not a mod, it is a simple addition to the game.
Ok, well, seeing as F.Rabshaw is being a jackass about this, I will tell you all how to do it since I managed to figure it out.
All you need to do is spawn as support, go somewhere, drop some ammo packs, kill yourself, spawn as assault go to the ammo packs and then start tossing your hooks, when you toss one you will immediatly pick up another from the ammo pack, and if you keep tossing and picking them up in succession it wont switch to another weapon, so all you need to do is hit fire and pickup back and forth.

Incorrect information.
I have played 20.5 hours as SAS, played all of their maps, and have a best round of 215. I am almost 100% sure the main factor for the ribbons are 50 hours in the theater.
I need about 3 more hours on the SAS maps to check this.

The flashbang badge seems to be broken, or require a MUCH larger amount of uses.
I was just wondering. If you get a vehicle on fire, switch to the zipline and then someone dies in the ensuing explosion, would it count as a zipline kill? I am not wholly sure how those roadkills work.
It's strange, because I know the server reported, I have all of the points from those rounds.
Not a big deal either way I suppose, I will get it again eventually.

I just played two rounds on The Iron Gator as USMC, In the first round I had 45 kills with the anti tank kit, and in the second I had 49, but never recieved the badge.
Are there any hidden requirements? If I remember correctly I tried getting this badge before and the same thing happened.

The most reliable thing I have seen is 20 hours with the faction, and 50 hours in that factions theater of war (all the maps they play on, regardless of if you played them or not)
I have had excellent success with AA. There are a couple things you NEED to know and do while using it though.
The MOST important is patience. Most pilots will release their flares before you fire anything, you absolutely must wait for their flares to be down to be useful at all. After they flare you should whip the AA far into the air, removing all lockons, and then bring it down so just the chopper is within the lock area. This allows a relock a second after flares are fired, and if you pop off your shots then you have a good chance of connecting.
You also need to realize that the accuracy of the shots is garbage, if the chopper is running perpendicular to your view you will usually have trouble hitting them. The easiest shots are those directly straight on as the chopper is flying away.

Time in theater is the time spent on maps that a specific army takes part in, so to get your time in the SAS theater of war you need to take the times listed in your profile for each of the maps they play on, Ghost Town, Night Flight, and Warlord. It doesn't matter which side of the conflict you played as, it simply matters that you playing 'in the theater'.
Pulp, you have 51h in theater for SPETZ, thus, you have enough in theater for the ribbon.
You only have about 45h in theater for SAS, so 5 more hours split between Ghost Town, Night Flight, and Warlord, and you should recieve the SAS ribbon.
EDIT: You are confusing 'In Service' and 'In Theater'. In Service refers to the total time you have played, while In Theater ONLY refers to the time spent on maps in which that army participates.
here is the theater breakdown:
SAS: Ghost Town, Night Flight, Warlord
SPETZ: Ghost Town, Surge, Mass Destruction
MECSF: Leviathan, Devil's Perch, The Iron Gator
SEAL: Leviathan, Devil's Perch, The Iron Gator
Insurgent: Night Flight, Warlord
Rebel: Surge, Mass Destruction

95% of the server admins in any game (probably slightly higher in BF2 due to the rank system) are extremely shitty players, that spend their money on a server so they are able to do what they want without getting their faces raped all the time.
In all honesty, most of them are the shitty player that latch on to a clan, never actually plays in any matches, but pays for the server so he can claim he has friends.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I just got banned from a server because I asked what the hell was wrong with the server from a technically point as the average ping of both teams was over 150, and people were getting kicked left and right for high pings. Those are the worst kind of admins. They know their server is their only connection to any sort of social interaction, and for some reason take massive offense when you say it is performing shitty.

Damnit Raxor, you gotta finish up those last 5 badges and medal so I can see someone with all of the vanilla awards!
Insurgents play on Night Flight and Warlord. And no, thats not the case, there are plenty of people with the awards without 5 hours on some of the theaters maps.IBKCKNURASS wrote:

It most definitly requires a set TIME IN THEATER (time played on all maps that faction takes part in, regardless of if you play them or the other team.) I have determined that it's probably not more than 20 hours with army, 50 hours in theater, and maybe best round score of 80.
It definitly has no IAR requirements, because otherwise it would be awarded in game.

Another little piece of information about that file and the system.
When you connect to the account server your stats are stored locally. When you connect to a server everything you do is not only tracked by the server but also locally. That medal data file is used to present awards locally when you recieve them, even though the information hasn't been sent from the server to the stats server yet.
That is how you are able to recieve an award but never end up actually getting it, due to a problem on the servers side.
I have yet to test this out, but I imagine if you edit the medal data file you could 'receive' awards in game that you are truely no where near getting. Of course, if the medal_data file is one that is checked upon connection, you might not even be able to play with it edited

Ok, first off, I believe with the latest patch they removed the kills you recieve from arty, so they don't go towards awards. I could be wrong on that, but they definitly no longer show up in the score screen like they previously did.
On topic, I took all of the info from someone that has all 6 service ribbons, and these were the lowest common denominators:
Army Time: 22:04
Theater Time: 53:53
Army Wins: 69
Army Best Round: 80
EDIT: Barring oddities on EA's part, we can round down and assume the figures are, at most, 20 hours, 50 hours, 60 wins, 80 best round.
Also, that python code is commented out, and the service ribbons are a server side award, so technically, the information listed in that file has NO connection to the actual requirements for the award. In the file it has comments that all of the service ribbons and medals are backend.
So it doesn't really even matter if you can decipher what the other variable is in the document, as it has no direct connection to the award.

It also cannot solely be time in theater, as Mr.Bonus recieved the SEAL and MECSF ribbons about 20 hours apart, when those two armies share the same three maps.
Can someone with one of the ribbons check it in BFHQ and see exactly what it says is listed for requirements?

Ok, so, Mr.Bonus Now has all 6 of the army service ribbons.
Here are his stats, first number is time with army, second is time in theater, third is army wins, fourth is best round with army.

MECSF: 105:12, 175:56, 213, 178,

Yeah, all of the army service ribbons are attainable, they just require a lot of time, and no one has locked down the exact requirements yet.
My last post might have been unclear, or maybe you simply didn't understand. It was refering to the 'This' link in AbrnRanger's post, not Titanium Shadows stats.
Well, its supposedly time in theater (all of the maps that army plays on). This checks out for the three ribbons he does have, however, he has over 97 hours on SPETZ maps, but does not have that ribbon, he also has over 100 wins, and over 100 best round with them. So maybe that isn't it after all...AbrnRanger wrote:
I am not sure that is it either. Look at This profile.YitEarp wrote:

he hasnt played like any maps except ghost town, and 100hours on that got him both SAS and SPETZNAS ribbons, even though he only played spetznas for like 30 hours.
He has two different ribbons and not the 90 hours on any map.
*shrugs*
Check back in here Seth when you have 90 hours on Ghost or Warlord.Seth Infinite wrote:
Let ma add to the confusion!!
SAS ribbon at about 65 hours and BR of 54.
No Spetsnaz at 37 hours.
No MEC at 48 hours.
Only play Ghost and Warlord.
Since combined you have over 90 hours, you have the SAS ribbon, because they are in both maps. Once you reach 90 hours on Ghost you should recieve the Spetsnaz ribbon, and 90 hours on Warlord you should recieve the Insurgent ribbon.
A COMPLETE AND TOTAL FUCKHEAD (no offense)
If I am on a team filled with fucktards I will often be commander the next round and simply artillery my team.
Stop being retarded.
Well, I would have gotten my expert badge when I got my vet badge, but I didn't have enough explosives kills, ended the round with about 45 c4 kills though.
I played as MEC, found it to be easier than USMC, since all of the enemies have to come to you, instead of the other way around. At the beginning of the round I ran to the southermost fenced area, tossed a c4 pack over the fence at a time, detonating them as they hit the ground, racked up a few. After I was naded I came back but set packs just inside the fence and hid in the corner, waiting for guys to come through, got several more kills before I died.
From there the USMC team actually started grabbing some points (I found this to be a good thing, since it stopped their ticket drain, and it stopped the clusterfuck killing at the southern point that was dropping the tickets too quickly. I then started spawning at the NW most point, popped 3 c4 on the front of the vodnik and took it to anywhere there was action. If you jump out at max speed a little before you get to guys, you can detonate it immediatly and take no damage. I would do that, then quickly run after other guys or vehicles and toss/detonate my other 2 packs, and pretty much suicide after that, spawning at the NW point yet again. It was a 64 player map with about 30 people playing. I got my 45 c4 kills with about 50 tickets to go, then gave up realizing I couldn't even get expert yet.
