Played BF2 since July 2005, joined this site around the same time. It looked a lot different back then. Anyone else remember the short lived cartoon logo on the white background?

AA was so great... I'm not sure about this one because it looks more Joel Schumacher than Chris Nolan.
Loudness doesn't make you any better of a leader. In fact, people frequently substitute volume for value. They get loud because they know they're full of shit and are trying to appear confident. Not all the time, some people are just loud, but a lot of the time. Make yourself believe in what you're doing, and you'll naturally become more assertive since you'll realize what it means.
Makes no sense. The bill basically allows more people to have health insurance, which means MORE people able to go the hospital for treatment.
Sounds like a knee-jerk reaction from an idiot hospital administrator or a hospital run by an insurance company trying to maintain its CEO's bonus.

I like to group parts that work together on the same day. Chest, shoulders, triceps one day. Biceps & back the next. Legs. Core. Sometimes I'll mix core in with back & bi's. This routine keeps you from overworking muscle groups and gives everything time to rest. For example, it's difficult to work chest or shoulders without working your tri's, so do them together.Home wrote:
Just got my first membership to a local gym on Monday, I'm pretty pumped and so far it's been a lot better than what I was working with at home. I look like a complete noob wandering around the place trying to figure out how to work everything but it's cool.
So I generally split my workouts into body parts, and so far I've just been going around doing most or all of the machines related to that body part on that day, plus benching or dumbells or whatever. Is this what you guys do? Or should I just be using some of them to try and get a more focused workout?
BF2, it was perfectly balanced. You could dominate on foot, in a vehicle or in the air. How many other games gave you maps big enough to fly a jet, yet still have decent infantry fighting? 2142 and BC2 are both quite good, but they're trying to turn it into a competitor to COD, which honestly kicks BF's ass for infantry.
Maybe one of these: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind … ersonalize
Agreed. It's a bad example, Swan. Do you think torturing someone to death is the same as downloading music? Come on, it's a great example because they're both illegal. If you download music, you're no different than a murderer.usmarine wrote:

As long as you're not playing BF3 on the same machine you played BF2 on when it came out years ago, you should be fine. You have at least a year and a half to save for upgrades. Start fattening that piggybank!specialistx2324 wrote:

Assuming they took nade spam, explosives, etc into consideration when making the maps, it could be ok, but otherwise 80 players seems like a bit too much.
That is a long time. Most of the members now came long after that. The cartoon was the 2nd or 3rd design. This one came right after it.nibiru2012 wrote:

Not really. I think most morals are relative and culturally-based, while there are a few absolutes (don't kill anyone, don't steal their shit).Flaming_Maniac wrote:

"Good country music" is an oxymoron.
Anyway, come to Texas. You'll see that a lot of country music females are also hideous. Hot chicks listen to all kinds of music. If you switch to country for a chick, you're stuck listening to that shit as long as your with her. Just find one who likes the same music you do.

Anything but Trojans. Those things break on me about 1 out of every 4 times. Worst pieces of crap ever.
Oman. Fail poll is fail.
Pong. I'm old.
It was like that one, except the edges were rounded and the sides were white. I can't find an exact pic. It had no AC adapter and took 8 D-cell batteries.
If you mean PC games, it was TI Invaders on the TI-99 4A.
A blatant ripoff of Space Invaders.

Are we the only two people left who agree with this? Political views should be irrelevant to judges and news reporters. What happened to impartiality?Ajax_the_Great1 wrote:
It's sad that our supreme court is so corrupt. Political leanings should not affect how the law is interpreted.
If this is true, it's total bullshit that we allowed it take place. We're supposed to be civilized. These people are in a prison for a reason, but rape and sexual torture are barbarous and wrong. We'll see what the pictures tell us when they're released.

Try to think of it as food groups. You can survive for while on nothing but fruit, but the guy eating fruit, veggies, grains, meat and dairy is going to thrive. It's all about balance.Pubic wrote:

Really? Except for maybe Schlotzky's, I don't think there's a fast food place worse than Wendy's. Even Long John Silver's is better. BK does have kickass frys, though. They stole the recipe from Jack in the Box's old frys.FrankieSpankie3388 wrote:

Hulu is not the same as file sharing, it's a site that the networks allow to show their programming.
I otherwise agree with the example you're giving, since it's not really file sharing. Services like Hulu provide much needed competition and keep prices/quality in check.

I disagree. Stealing =/= fair game. Is it okay to steal clothes if they're overpriced? Hilfiger costs 3X as much as Target brands for about the same quality.Hurricane2k9 wrote:
I myself never said it wasn't stealing. But I'd say it's fair game. Hit them where it hurts. They'll eventually get it.chittydog wrote:
If that business model doesn't work anymore, that doesn't mean that it's not stealing, it only means they're not going to stay around forever.
There's nothing to debate here. If the maker of the software/music/video has not given approval for file sharing, then it's stealing. Whether you think it's fair or not is totally irrelevant. If that business model doesn't work anymore, that doesn't mean that it's not stealing, it only means they're not going to stay around forever.

C#, VB, Javascript, SQL & a little PHP. HTML & XHTML too, but those don't really seem like languages.
You clearly don't remember go.com. That was easy. Yahoo.com is easy. Infoseek was pretty easy. Live.com is too. So were ask.com, Excite and goto.com. Google dominates because of the quality of its results.FFLink13 wrote:

Yeah, this. His whole point is not that he's changing views, but that he believes the Republicans are moving so far to the right as to no longer match his viewpoints.S.Lythberg wrote:

I'm generally happy with the Dems having a majority, but I don't like any one party having too much of a majority. Our government was built on checks & balances and we need to keep those in place. Look what happened to the Republicans after having a President and majority in Congress for so long.
I knew someone would post this sooner or later. It seems a little silly though, considering the last time she had a regular spot on TV or a memorable role in a film was before most of the members here were born.

After seeing the way you write money signs (300.00$), it's obvious that ambulances aren't the only public service the government is cutting costs on...S3v3N wrote:
Here in montucky (montana), the rural area's charge for ambulance service, but then again 80% of the ambulance services in Montana are volunteer EMTs, our average bill is 300.00$, most of the time paid by insurance anyway. Our Yearly budget from the County government is 1,000.00$. Try running 7 ambulances on 1000.00. In the town I live in, we average about 10 calls per week (just EMS), but due to state law, we don't have the population for a paid EMS service or Fire/Rescue.
The bigger cities, don't have a paid EMS service, they use private companies or the Hospital has their own fleet. The fire department personal are city employees, or for the bigger areas, county employees.
A private company has the right to bill you for their services, but a local government run EMS service doesn't, the city government needs to unfuck their budget.
