This works:
Flat bench, incline bench, shoulders, squats (tho its fucking insane and try and keep someone close if you should encounter difficulties near the end.
Take your normal lifting weight and reduce to roughly a third or a half, then proceed with:
7 reps for 7 sets with 7 seconds rest between each set
3 mins rest
6 reps for 6 sets with 6 seconds rest between each set
3 mins rest
5 reps for 5 sets with 5 seconds rest between each set
thats a total of 110 reps.
Repeat for the next exercise! But please, make sure you're well hydrated and have eaten very well, also, should you not make the full reps and sets on the first try, do what you can and drop down to the next reps and sets.

the fuck is this?
And there's no need to either, just make sure you eat right and do the work-out that best suits you. Don't be afraid to mix it up either!Adams_BJ wrote:
A lot of hard work. I'm progressing slowly. I don't want to have to put on a heap of fat to get there.
Slow progress is still progress and in my opinion, it's the best type, healthy and less prone to injury.
And how do you plan on getting there? What workouts are you doing?Adams_BJ wrote:
I want to get to 80kgs, sitting at 72-73. Was 65 not long ago.
It's a pretty shameless and self indulgent display, but I never imagined I would look this good at 33. It's taken me a long time and really only taking my gym kinda seriousley for about the past 3 years.
I hit a personal best of a 60lbs/27kg dumbell held between my feet for 3 wide arm to the chest pull up yesterday. I've only ever maxed out at 110kg for my bench-press, I just don't go heavy any more anyway, it never worked for me and never will. I just have to do big circuit-type sessions now.

Why did you need to cut in the first place? From what I understood, you weren't a big build anyway, you started from slim and have been working up.Jaekus wrote:
I've only really started cutting from winter. My clothes are fitting me better already. Nothing impressive visually though.
I don't get all this bulking malarky, that just for people who want to get big quick, why not make it a lifestyle instead of something you want in a few months time?
I've been at it for a long time now and it means i'm conditioned to it, my size doesn't fade quick and it's far more healthier in the long run. My workout is mixed in with a lot of other leisurly things, walking, running and being generally very active.
I kinda assumed Ben was giving that figure with a degree of sarcasm, last time I checked I was around 7% body fat and that was well over a year ago, I weigh 171lbs/77kg.Adams_BJ wrote:

Yeah, something like that
My body fat scales at home tell me that I have 21%.
But I look nothing like that.
I did however lose 19 kg over the summer by reducing carbohydrates and eating mostly chicken and fish.
But I still have a potbelly and have barely done any exercise or sports over the past few years.
I'm going to buy a pair of dumbells this week and start to some training.
Are there any exercises with dumbells to train the tighs and calves?
Or can something like that only be done properly at a gym on one of these machines?
Theres no way I would look like i do with 20%+ body fat.
Might have to go home tho, stupid Candian immigration.
However, New Zealand looks good. But really I don't care, so long as I can ski during a season, I'll take anything. Perhaps even somewhere in the EU.

You need to lean out to show dem abs., I'm guessing you are 20-23% body fat?
Thats right bitches, this is what you can achieve if you could just peel yourself off the fucking sofa!
Just protein isolate and HARD FUCKING WORK, up to 55lbs/25kg dumbell held between my feet for 6 reps, wide arm pull up to chest or behind neck. Press up super sets, circuits and beast.
It comes with its downsides tho, right shoulder is touch and go some days and left elbow aches like a fucking cuuuuuuuunt after big pullup and curl sessions.
You fucking panzies should post some pictures too, unless you're all talk.
Also, ciritque plzzzzzzz, I think my shoulders need more work.
That is awesome, I've been looking for Mk3 Golf VR6's to grab the leather interiors out of.TSI wrote:
Popped into a junkyard at the opposite end of town as I was passing by. They had a mint 1989 3series convertible with a hardtop. I paid $200 for the top, seats, steering wheel, radio, lights and some trim.
All that is now posted for sale, should be making around $2300 in the next couple of weeks. 1000% profit ftw.
Did you get the door cards/panels as well? You can usually get really good money for them, especially as you said it was in such good condition.
my raw upper body strength is fucking INSANE!

Two of my favourite from the Fabric/Fabriclive series. They are all safely tucked away in the loft at my parents back in the UK, I do miss them very much. I have Fabric 09 to Fabric 33 and Fabriclive 08 to Fabriclive 31 and some odd ones I picked up here and there

you should work on that, little man.
Just do exercises that isolate each side, namely dumbell chest press, dumbell shoulder press, dumbell curls (standing or sitting, or preacher). Still do your pushups, try different hand postions, diamonds. Do push ups and hold one leg off the floor, try and shock all your little muscle groups. Don't neglect your pull ups, do underhand grip, do over handgrip, go wide, go narrow.yoozeek wrote:
whenever i do calisthenics, particularly pulls-ups and push-ups, i feel like my left-side just isnt' 'pulling its weight'. what gives? even if i mix up the push/pull-ups with different positioning and symmetries, i always just feel like my left side from the arm thru the chest is weaker. even if i focus extra-hard on making sure im balanced and symmetric when going down/up, i still don't feel the 'burn' in my left side.
did i suffer a stroke?
Most people find an imbalance from repeated use of weight machines, barbells and smith machine use.
Also, squat, deadlift and standing overhead press is a pretty much something you should absolutely be doing.
All of the above can be used in most scenarios, if you just want to stay in shape and tone, or if you want to build muscle mass, bread and butter exercises. I'm sure I have missed a few too.
Yep.
I bought them about two months ago, the only regret I have is not buying them sooner, brilliant for the gym, squats, deadlifts etc... I'm slowly adjusting to running in them.
Props to anyone who knows what the album is without checking the link or reverse searching.

The best days skiing at Sunshine this season, not a scratch on Fernie, but conditions were perfect, can't ask for much more than that!

You.
A more apt parallel would be to ask why people would all pay to gather in the same room to squeeze their zits when they could just do it at home for free.
