Let me know what those fans are like, noise/air flow wise, looking at the numbers they're pretty good fans and I could do with something quieter than these Antec TriCool fans.

I'm hoping they're 3 pin so I can actually use my fan controller too lol.

Aiming for 4.0 but higher than 3.5 is fine.

I'll leave the sidepanel for what it is then, the pic makes me smile though, the tips won't touch my NB heatsink. But If I want to use the 120, I will have to mount it horizontal with only a top fan and 1 fan on the HR-GT, or 2 fans on the 120 and no fan on the HR-GT, what is wise?

That's just with passive and Turbo module. Two 80mm fans =/= 120mm fan. An Accelero with a 120mm fan will easily kick the HR-03's butt.

HR-03 with Vantec Tornado wins anyway

I can mount a 120mm fan on top yes + 1 in the back + 1 in the front, fans will go vertically.

It doesn't, it takes 5cm from panel to fan.

Erm yeh they aint decoration, they're the heatpipe tips, they don't come off without destroying the whole block.

I changed the list with them, the differene is 15,00 but If you say it has a good difference in cooling with the Rev. A, I will get the GT no doubt.

The top are deco and can be screwed off, thats what I'm told.

Btw, make SURE you get the HR-03 GT, not HR-03 or HR-03 Plus

GT is for G92, Plus is for G80 and HR-03 is...dunno.

With the cooler removed, I have about 2 1/2 slot left + I can take the mesh out.

The top card will get the block and fan above, the lower one will get the block and fan downwards.

After much debate, I have chosen not to go with watercooling. It would be too expensive and too much maintenance. Also, I'm not gonna upgrade this rig with Nehalem and 48xx, DDR3 etc but build a new one when the time comes.

My setup looks like this:

Now, The main problem I thought that I was gonna have is getting 2 decent coolers in SLI but after some measurements, the Thermalright HR-03 and a 120mm fan is gonna work out smooth. In addition, I'm buying 4 extra 120mm fans for my sidepanel (Stacker 831)



This is what I'm getting, anyone got any advice before I click 'Order'?

Wouldnt upgrade anything t'ill Nehalem and 48xx and GTX200, then again, upgrading is different from replacing.
