I highly doubt that will be the case. Finding professionals who require another flat mate isn't exactly hard. I've already found potential flats, it was more a case of "where" I should be looking.Dilbert_X wrote:

Chances are you'll be bunking with Al Qaeda-aligned illegals and Nigerians with AIDS, bad luck. Probably an upgrade from Glasgow though.
If it says 'DSS welcome' forget it.
Now there's several "flat share" websites, however trusting them is pretty hard when you get shit like "PRFESIONALS WANTED, NICE FLAT MATES" as ads.Dilbert_X wrote:

Re OP:
Its a long time since I was in London, Loot magazine was the place to fix up flat/house shares, if you can't do it through your company or personal contacts.
You will get stiffed on the deposit, so just say goodbye to it as it leaves your hands.
Personal contacts are pretty much 0 down in London, I know people who reside there, but none that know of people looking to flat share.
Company I haven't asked yet, I'm sure they'd be more than helpful, just a pain with communication as I'm not down there already.
Deposit is not a concern, I expect at least £1k deposit anyway (closer to 1.25k) and that's fine with me. I put down close to the same here in Glasgow.

@ FFLink - Yeah that'd be grand, hearing other people's experiences is what I need now to situate myself.
Hey all, long time no see/speak/blah. It's been a while, and I've been enjoying life.
I'm not going to ask if I've missed much, because I surely have.
So, I'm moving to London at the end of this month, permanently, and I was wondering what advice, if any, can be given on areas to live in London. Advice is not limited to that, that's just my main priority for moving down there. The plan is to couch surf for a week until I've found a nice place to call home. I do intend to flat share (as much as I can afford a two bed flat for myself, I'd rather save the cash for other stuff). My offices are located in Camden, so I would preferably want to look North of London.
I was looking at Islington, Holloway, Camden (but not a huge fan, and stupid premium prices). I'm not very clued up on where to look for places in London, hence why I'm asking for advice. Any other London advice appreciated.
Cheers!

I'm baffled as to why Del Bosque thinks Torres is a viable solution. He scored two shit goals against Ireland and sucked big time for the entire game. Those goals did not show he was in form, they just showed how shit Rep. of Ireland were.
He doesn't seem to learn from previous matches and thinks that Spain can just grind out with their talent, which is a load of bullshit because they can't counter or attack properly without a solid striker that can adapt to the measured play of the midfielders. Torres just runs like a headless chicken to where he thinks the ball should be played through, and 9/10 times misses the fucking idea entirely.
It should be Negredo starting with Fabregas, Xavi and Iniesta behind. Martinez (Alonso is fucking pish in the Spain squad) and Busquets covering and then the normal back 4. It's not hard to realise that would be the most effective team to work with. Negredo can adapt a lot quicker and is a huge force when it comes to moving attacks.
What a terrible game. Spain didn't deserve a single goal out of that. Pathetic.

You should never be mixing different channel RAM in your motherboard. That's a given. RAM is so cheap just now you would have been better off just buying 2x4GB of the new sticks and removed your old ones entirely. NEVER mix and match.
However LBJ is right, you should be testing both ends and see if its the mixing that fucks it up or it's just that stick. If it is, just return it and get a new one, and whilst you're at it, buy another 4GB stick and bin your old stuff.

Firstly, you're what? 17? Why the fuck are you thinking such things as "Oh yeah, I miss that girl, I wish I could date her". What does that even mean? So every girl you want to stick your penis in you miss and want to date? Grow up and learn that life isn't like that. Girls come and go and you are far too young to begin to understand relationships (and I mean mentally young, because you had to ask why I stated problems). Stop thinking big and start thinking small. Kiss a girl, finger her, fuck her. You shouldn't be thinking about dating long term, buying her dinner or marrying her. That's just dumb. Enjoy your young life whilst you can.
You hope things work out? You have a fucking crush on this girl. Think one step at a time. Until you can land your lips on hers, you shouldn't be thinking past your dick. You start thinking about everything after that and you're gonna get into problems. You've jumped from girl to girl desperate to go out with them. Don't get desperate to date them, don't get desperate at all. Read between the lines with what girls are saying. Take the plunge, make a move. You're playing a stupidly careful game which is never going to work in your favour until you find a really really really innocent girl and then fuck it up because you get bored. I've been there, done that. It ain't pretty.
Again, why the FUCK are you wanting to connect with them? You're not 25, nearly settling down with a job and wanting children. Being able to talk to them is good enough. Being able to touch them is better. Fuck, if 15% of the world could "connect", it would be a much happier place. Fact for you: Not gonna happen. Sometimes it never happens.
Put it this way. What is the worst that can happen if you make a move with any of these? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Life is short, you are young and you should be doing whatever impulse comes through your head (short of killing, unless justified). Stop being careful. Stop being naive. Life is harsh and will be harsh on you if you don't man the fuck up and make a move. Make a move with anything that moves, get your hole, fucking something ugly. I don't care. But trust me, the moment you start thinking about "connecting" again, you'll be fucked and straight back to the start of your miserable ability to talk to girls.
TL;DR - STOP BEING A PUSSY.

I currently have 20MB broadband with Sky and download at 1mb/s and upload at 0.25mb/s which is fucking pathetic due to signal degradation. Granted, I won't use the full power of 100mb download speeds, but will certainly use the amazing upload speeds. That's why I'm getting it anyway.

The issue was, it wasn't even that. Barcelona couldn't finish even if the goal walked up and asked the ball to be put in it. Fabregas and Alexis, the two "great buys" have bottled under pressure ever since Barcelona weren't winning the league. They've been so disappointing in big games. It makes me wonder why Guardiola kept Fabregas on for that long. All he did was lose the ball and fuck up finishes.justice wrote:

Man, Fabregas should have gone off after the first half. The guy was fucking disgraceful. He's been terrible for the last month and Guardiola still puts his faith in him. He was a disgrace to the Barcelona game.
Anyway, fantastic game and well deserved to Chelsea who're pretty much favourites now going to Camp Nou. Barcelona, with all their talks and mind games lost badly tonight because they couldn't handle the pressure. Alexis was shit, Fabregas was shit. If Barcelona can't find a finish, they're completely fucked.
Drogba was lol with all his diving around, but still proved to be the changing point in the game.
Bring on El Clasico and I hope to god Fabregas is benched for the entire duration.

After much thought and deliberation, I saved myself £120 and went for the Corsair 500R. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. Got an extra 2x120mm fans with it to increase cooling capacity. Fantastic case and incredibly easy to set up.
If you're supersetting, you should be resting for 1 minute and 20 seconds, if you're doing normal sets but lifting to near failure or a hard weight for yourself you should be resting 45 seconds. There should be no set where you take less than 30 seconds rest between them, no matter what regime you are on.
Overtraining usually accounts for time spent and days spent on workouts, not so much sets/reps. You can vary your sets and reps depending on what you're aiming for. 3-4 sets for size/strength ratio is ideally what you want to be looking for, with about 3-4 exercises for big muscles and 2 for smaller ones. Sets and reps will affect you if you take it too far, but overtraining is more to do with the amount of time spent on workouts. No more than 1.15 hours should be spent in a workout, including rest periods. 15 of those minutes spent doing abs at the end.
@ Bugz - You're not training yourself right or finding it hard enough, up the anti and start resting more. Muscles won't be affected by weights that you can do in a relatively easy manner. You should be struggling to push up the last rep on your first set, and struggling even more on second and then on third. If that's not happening then you're either on the wrong regime and/or your weights are too light.

I merely mentioned PHP Deployment because it's a thing that a lot of people don't fully understand and still do by using SFTP/FTP and uploading their files, when they should really be version controlling everything and deploying them through a system like Capistrano.

Yes, it will include labour and factory overheads. That is what Apple are paying Foxconn for the products, Foxconn manage the factory overheads and labour, not Apple.
The other overheads I do not know about, but I can tell you with certainty that the first few overheads are covered by that cost. That's how you purchase products. I don't pay for the factory workers labour, I pay for the product, just like Apple will.
Retailer margin? Lol wut. That's not part of the margin and would never be. That's up to the retailer.
Also, can you please stop confusing profit margin with markup. They are not the same things, in fact they are incredibly different.
Markup for iPad = 102.9%
Profit margin = 51%
Both of which are generally accurate for electronics bought in batches.
Markup = ((sale price/cost) - 1) x 100
Profit margin = (sale price/cost) x 100
Markup for iPad = 102.9%
Profit margin = 51%
Both of which are generally accurate for electronics bought in batches.
Markup = ((sale price/cost) - 1) x 100
Profit margin = (sale price/cost) x 100
After all extra costs and overhead are calculated in, maybe, but for the pricing off manufacturing to retailer, 50% is not huge. It's about right for a product like that.mikkel wrote:

You've also got to take into account that that is the cost for one iPad, and not a batch. The more purchased, the lower the cost of manufacturing.

I'm not sure why you're getting such a low end SSD when the rest of the build is pretty terrific. I wouldn't go for anything below 256GB and you can certainly get better performance than the Corsair.
I'd take a look at tomshardware.com and their SSD charts to see which ones are best.
What do you plan to do with this machine anyway? 16GB of RAM seems total overkill unless you're running a server/workstation.

Who said 1000 euros? Go look at the 27 inch Hazro IPS. Much less than 1000 euros and an incredible monitor.
To be honest, if you're designing (which I know you do and you do well) shelling out extra on a monitor is always worth it. I would never go back to TN film and would gladly spend 1000 on my next one even if it breaks the bank.

That's a huge step down from a 30 apple monitor. If you're using the monitor for design you really want to stick to IPS for the color accuracy. TN film sucks major ass and you'll never get great colour reproduction. Nor will you get good viewing angles. Bit of a joke really.
And I'm not sure where you got your info on ultrasharps coming calibrated to industry standard. Tft central states that its bad out of the box and needs calibration. In fact, if any monitor comes calibrated properly, and I hate to say this, its the apple monitor.

CapnNismo, I do not doubt your pick for the NZXT, and after doing a bit more research it certainly holds its own against its competitors. My one and only reason now for not wanting it is just the looks. Great case, as you've already vouched for it, but I just couldn't stand looking at that when I'm turning it on
The 550D, FT02 and Level 10 GT are top of my lists so far. However I'd rather not spend £200 on a case. So the 550D is definitely in front.

Bugz - the only issue I have with the 650D is that it is let down in terms of cooling performance. And coming from an Antec 900 that's not going to be a good upgrade. Beautiful case and everything is spot on, but the cooling on it (according to reviews and tests) is not very good for the price.
@FatherTed - Had a bad experience with Coolermaster and it's not an upgrade to me Antec 900, in terms of space, cable management and cooling.
Okay, on another note, I need an upgrade to my Antec 900, this isn't just a "need a new case cause my case is shit" question. My case does the job in terms of cooling but sucks as in terms of cable management, looks, operation and build quality.

Been reading a lot about it and they say it's pretty much unparalleled in terms of cooling and set up. It's really easy to buy here, but it is £210... Although your suggestion is not much cheaper, and a lot less justified (if looking purely at design/build and cooling)GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

I need a case. A really good case with some nice space and great air cooling. Not willing to spend ridiculous amounts of money, but will push upwards of £150 if it's justified. Not a gaming case, I don't give a shit for bright LED lights and stuff.
