Actualy I have found that if you get a headshot with a grenade, it will kill them.  Yes a thrown grenade hitting your head will kill you. . . then explode and kill any one arround you.  So basicly Rundje, you had great aim on that toss.


My personal most memorable killS was during karkland.  I was playing as MEC.  The US had captured the 2 first flags and were pressing hard for the one by the train accedent.  I had been sniping them for a long time from on top of the train cars.  Finaly some one noticed me, and started poping off shots.  I put a bullet in his brain and start to move.

That is when I saw about 20 of the enemy hiding behind one building getting ready to attack.  I grabed the pack from the soldier I just killed (assult)  loaded up an M203 round, and landed it perfectly in the middle.  They were tight packed, but thier was litteraly so many of them it did not kill them all.  just opened a hole in the middle of them.
A short shoot out then commenced.  I had about 75% cover, they were all out in the open.  I gunned down 4 more just using the M16.  before they got me.

I honestly do not know how much damage I did to that offensive, a medic could have revived most of them.  If thier was one left.  Thier were not many left standing when I got killed.

Overall I just remember it from the M203 round that made it look like 2 people in the group did spining cartwheel flips out of the crowd

I'm quite happy with this patch.  I primarly play sniper, AT, and support.  The new sniper rifle is just what the mec and PLA needed to even them selves out to the power of the M24.

The vehicle I favor is the transport helo (some times attack).  AA used to be somthing I just ignored.  just fly not quite straignt and it would always miss.  Now I actualy have to fly smart.  Using hills and buildings to keep people from getting a lock.  Avoiding areas with AA launchers, and always moving.

I don't remember rain in any of the BF:V maps.  It has been to long since I played any of the Road to rome maps to remember honestly.

battle front 2 was ok in space battles.  That portion I think it will win over BF2's mod.  But for land battles I still think the SW mod for BF1942 was better.  just my opinion though.

I have been doing this for years, and have done this since Day 1 of getting BF2, no problem with my account.

Look up "mini Images"  That is what you will need.  Basicly, to copy a CD to a hard drive you would need to make a disk image.  All the files from the CD contained in a file that Daemon tools or Alcohol can read and mount as a CD drive. For a mini image, you have the same thing, yet all the files that are not used to verify the CD (copy protection info) is taken off, and only the file name is left.  Since you do not not need that to play the game.

I would list a site to download a mini image from, but I do not know if that would violate forum rules.  Most forums would be upset about my intended link.  Thus my coment of look it up

I wonder if you have to actualy ATTEMPT to repair it.  for example, if you have an engineer in a tank, sitting on a street blasting noobs.  the commander drops a supply crate right behind him, to repair the tank.  Does the tank then repair the supply crate as well?  Normaly when I see an enemy vehicle sitting at a crate, I grenade the crate ASAP.

It depends.  If I can get a good squad I like to provide fire support from a short distance off the front lines.  Since I can actualy tell my squad when a MGer is down, or some one is comming up behind them, but I cannot get a good shot ect.

If I do not have a good or any squad.  I will usualy go defensive.  try to find a flag the enemy wants to take, and cover it.

I need 3 more knife kills then I will try for my gold knife badge.  it's the only one I have close to the requierments to try for.

never played DC much.  was to "gamey" for me.  normaly played FH, EOD, or XWW2 in 1942.

Mostly I have an issue with the damge done.  a .50 cal can just ever so barely miss, and still remove your arm.  Yet in this game, a chest shot to an unarmored soldier just hurts.

no racism, more of eliteism.  You don't like some one because they have not done somthing as much/aswell as you.  not because of what thier parents were.

ok the first 2 were a bit dull.  but when they actualy demonstrate how dumb it looks to have an assult soldier bunny hopping arround the corners, that made me laugh quite a bit.

The shadows do not effect any one elses computer, but it is good advice.  I have had a blackhawk that is caping a flag with 2 gunners hover close enugh that I could aim and kill the gunner.  He just did not see me hiding in the shadow untill it was to late.

Personaly, I like rooftops, but it has to be a particular type.  Thier must be objects on the roof.  A flat roof is near instant death.  A multi level roof gives you some nice hiding and cover spots.  Also, try to avoid the common roof top sniper error.  Don't get THAT close to the edge.  I have killed snipers with my pistol because thier head and arms was showing over the side of the building.  Just your rifle barrel is not to bad, most people would not notice it. . . unless your firing.  You add an arm, or worse 2 arms and a head to that, and your asking for some one to shoot you from the gound.

inside buildings is the best though.  at least in my opinion.  Overall this guide covers the basics that any one who wants to snipe should know.  Yet you should pick this up rather quickly if you spend time sniping.  The fact that people on top of hills are the first ones you spot and kill should be enugh to make you avoid them.
Honestly the only more advanced advice you can realy give out is exact tactics.  Such as where to stand, which windows are best, what areas have the best view of battle fields on which maps.  How to use the vodnick to reach some odd locations people will not normaly look, ect.

Oddly I seem to have to oposite problem.  Normaly when I join a server and get into a good VOIP squad, they are not speaking english.  I think I was playing with a group of finnish last night.  I could only correctly repond to game commands (ammo needed, need repairs, ect).  I know they were trying to talk to me, because I could hear them saying my chars name.  I just hit page down each time they said somthing with my name to indicate I did not get that.

It may put a bit more stress on the GFX card, but it is much needed for night maps.  As murphy's law goes

Mods have controlls over the forum.  can edit posts, move posts, delete users some times, and the like.  Admin runs the site, has direct access to the server ect.

Project reality recently released a mini mod for BF2 realism.  Not bad. . . aside of the sniper rifle, which is oddly the least accurate of rifles.

Well the rest of us who do not hack/stat pad appricate you taking time to make sure the people who do get what is comming to them.

Why after beeing caught some one would go so far as to get 753 points in a round. . . not once, but twice is beyond me.

I finaly got that one yesterday. . . since the screwy AA tracking I have not shot down an enemy jet. . . after trying and taking out 2 frinedly jets, and 1 friendly helo, not killing ANY thing else, I nearly gave up.  But yesterday I found the secret.  make sure the chopper is close enugh you don't have to aim.  Killed the hello spawn raping in shaqari, but died from the blast it was so close.

So I am officaly not a noob!  yeay me.

Hummer/Vod = best AA in game ATM.

yes give them grenades and make the AT rocket do 0 damage to infantry.

I have done this a few times.  Once was fully by accedent.  I was firing at an enemy helo, apearently the jet decided the helo HAD to be saved and jumped in the way of the shell.  I think the reason most people always belive they miss is because a single tank shell will not destry a jet.  Why I do not know, putting just a fist sized hole into somthing that moves at the speed of sound should cause it to fall apart on it's own.   Yet that + explosive charg = run away to airbase in BF2.

I am actualy quite good at taking down choppers with jets.  It is rather like sniping IMO, I just don't do it all that often.  I don't like tanks, to easy to whore points from.

oh I also forgot.  an AT rocket will setoff any C4 that was stuck to your tank causing a realy big boom, followed by a likly case of death.

I snipe a good bit, honestly hit is extreamly simple to hit bunny hoppers.  You just aim where you know thier head will be in one second (since once you hop you cannot change direction).  Then fire.  I kill on average 3-4 people per round in mid hop.  If I see 4 people walking and one starts hopping, I'll usualy kill the hopper first.

Plane, I do not have alot of experiance with, so no comments on that.

Tank.  Actualy if you know how you can kill a tank with 2 hits.  I have used VOIP to coordinate 2 good hits with another squad member.  You just need to know where to hit.  With 2 people a small ammount of corridnation you can make it seem like a 1 hit kill.

undersomthing, under a building, under an overhanging roof, somthing.  I know I still show up on a generic heat scan, but the enemy commander cannot arty me.  nor can he tell a random spec ops when I turn arround so he can shoot me. . . (both of which I have done to enemy commanders)

I still play both on a simi regular basis.  Honestly I much prefer BF2.

First, BF2 does not take a time requierment.  If I have 6 hours in game, and by best frined has 300 hours in game.  We can still joing the same squad and have fun togeather.  Sure hey may have more weapons avalible, but I might well still show him up.
In Wow he would have to make a new character so we are withing a small level range of one another.

WoW is much more of a time = reward game.  BF2 is much more of a skill = reward.   I consider myself resonably skilled in both wow, and BF2.  Yet I have only a few level 30 characters in wow, because I cannot stand killing the same thing the same way over and over and over and (x100000) untill I move up 3 levels, move over 10 feet in the zone, do the same thing again with a new mob.  in BF2 if you kill the same person the same way 100 times it makes for an interesting point of conversation on your favorit victem stat.

thanks for that Johnny_Quicksilver, thier are a few changes I would like to make.  the + points is kind of nice.  but what I was teamkilled by would be a real help.

if it is a ranked server report them.  It is a violation of ranked server EUA to enforce reservation of vehicles for a clan.

I predict that will come out, every kid will go "OMG LOOK AT THE GFX!  OMG L33T!!!1!"
Then EOD, FH, POE, and a few other mods will be relased for BF2.  Ranked server will start emptying, since they only played for stats they will think BF2 PC has died.  For the better of all BF2 players.

sobasicly any server with the rule, no base raping, or bunny hopping is an illegal server?  as that puts restrictions on game play. . . .  No base raping obviously give the loosing team an unfair chance they would not otherwise have.

Thats because thier obviously in basic training.  Hell they are not even up to dolphin diving it seems.

how is that stat padding?  They are choosing valid maps, with valid ammounts of people.  The only odd rule I see is that they are not allowing all the flags to be captured.  Thus making sure the round ends by ticket loss, not by a well driven APC.

are thier any pistol only servers?  I would not mind having a few rounds to brush up on my side arms combat.

I would have shot you.  Only because I shoot first, then worry about thier weapon. Especialy as a sniper.  Thier are mainly 2 things I am concerend with.  A ghillie suit and a large rocket launcher on your back.  Either one tells me, kill this person first.

Every one else, I just shoot in the head before even stoping to look at what weapon they have.

I have enjoyed the few knife fights I have had, but for me thier quite rare.  Knives I do not commonly use if my oponet can see me.

briliant chap to try that to a server admin.  I supose you even had a clan tag making it obvious.

The engine was made new, the code that code that controlls your controlls ect was not.

Dam I have to get a usless shotgun to get a nice SMG.  I love the FN P90, yet hate shotguns. . . fun.  Hell look at my profile, I kill more people with my knife than a shot gun . . . and I used the shotgun 7x as much. . . yet have about 1/2 the kills I do with a knife.  I use the MP5 from the AT class better than the friggin shotgun.

Peronsaly this is my least liked class, for mostly the reasons you mentioned.  Unless you are right next to a combat vehicle, or a blown asset, you feel rather usless.  Mines are TK buttons, shotguns are crap.  God only knows how many shotgunners I have knifed.  I do not have the engi SMG unlocked, thus I use the pistol most often.

I would life a shaqari, mastuur, karkland, warlord, ghost town rotation. . .  to bad the SF expansion has that shitty making you reload the game feature.

I have had a commander order me to repair somthing when I was a sniper.  Although he did it through VOIP as I was a squad leader (lone wolf still because no one would accept an invite).  He asked because I was the only one who followed directions so far.

I suicided, repaired and defended the base for a few min with the commander telling me exactly where each enemy was and what they were doing.  Stole an M95 from an enemy sniper and resumed splattering brains.

24 more kills and I can try for expert. . . knifeing is fun.

oh yes FYI on my stats.  I rarely ever fly attack hellos.  I normaly fly transports.  hence the 11 hours and only about 200ish kills.

5, I managed to chuck a grenade into a blackhawk that was taking off with almost a full load.  was quite fun to watch people go flying out the sides.
