Catalytic converters are used to reduce the amount of noxious emmisions your car emits from the combustion of gasoline. Some power can be gained with cars that have restrictive, or clogged converters; However, some cars are designed to work on the backpressure caused by a converter, so removing yours might not be the best idea (not to mention its illegal). An old, clogged catalytic converter can cause excessive backpressure, essentially choking your engine in a similar way as a clogged air filter makes it harder for your engine to breathe.
If you perform regular maintenance, like you said you do, then your air/oil filters shouldnt be a problem, and neither should your ignition system if you check your plugs periodically. If it is a high mileage car, then you should check your fuel system. Changing your fuel filter or cleaning your fuel injectors can make your car more responsive; over time, the injectors and filters get gummed up.
If by sluggish, you mean slow to respond to throttle input, and overall poor performance, and youve changed your air and oil filters, then definatley check your fuel system. Poor throttle response is often a sign of bad fuel delivery.

Personal dispute needs to be resolved. Dont google this shit, just answer off the top of your head.
Is this fine piece of japanese engineering:
A. Wagon (estate, shooting brake for those overseas)
or
B. Hatchback?
Or perhaps a yellow, nausea-inducing hybrid of the two? We will soon find out...
In it to win it
No, its best to clean it up before anybody finds out.elite.mafia wrote:

Long story short i have a 1974 Porsche 911 Targa that i need shipped to my location. I am currently living in Portland, Oregon. The car is in San Bernadino (LA-Area), California. The car is in non drivable condition, but the only problem is the drivetrain, more spefically the engine and transmission, so i need a way to get it from where it is, to where i want it to be.
Do/Have any of you ever shipped cars before, and can you recommend me some respectable companies or give me a price estimation? If you have any other ideas on how to ship my car safley and cheap, then please speak up.
Oh, and inb4google because i want some first hand reassurance.

Employees at the hermetically sealed UPS vaccum packing room should be concerned.
Are we forgetting A Clockwork Orange?
One of my all time favourite movies. Great pacing, humourous, yet also dark and twisted. Really good film if you ask me.

Do people ever commit suicide at the water cannon? I mean just think about it. A jet of water powerful enough to get to a height of 562 feet could easily strip skin right off and snap necks.
I agree, but you gotta remember one is a coupe and the others are sedans. The biggest similarities are in the front and rear fascias.FatherTed wrote:
Lights are sorta similar, the stance of the car, along with its lines are very different though.

I understand that the CLK is just a render, but production cars are never too radically different from their renders, espcially on large touches like headlight and tailight configuration. Good one, Mercedes!

Been a while since i've made a video, so i decided to make a short compilation of my favorite motorsport, Rally.
More musically oritented, tried to keep things timed with the beat. Tell me what you think.

How can you not notice the difference between 1 hour past high noon and 1 hour past midnight? You ran halfway to school in darkness. Uh?Freezer7Pro wrote:

I posted that almost an hour ago, but it didn't work :S
fluttering or pinging is a spark plug problem if it increases in proportion to the RPM of the car, and not the speed of the car. Check the ignition system.trex1210 wrote:
It is front wheel drive and when the car is idling it makes fluttering sounds. The sound increases when accelerating.Beduin wrote:

hmm...i don't know american cars thta much (aut. gearbox, rwd)
when you accelerate, do you hear the engine normally increasing rpm?
Cute.

From what i understand, the Itouch only accepts .mp4 videos. I have some videos that are .avi format and was wondering what settings i should encode at eg. 640x480 or 480x320, 25 or 30 fps, what bitrate and so on to get the best filesize to quality ratio? Can anyone shed some light on the situation?
Giant. 3 Prong. Dildo.
Everything blends nicely and evenly. Nice color definition, deep blacks, pure tones. Try to adjust some settings on your monitor. Most likely your Gamma settings. Everything, even your screenshot, looks perfectly normal.
Why do I have a feeling you just bumped your own 7 minute old topic?

If the guns weren't flimsy and cardboard it would be cool, but ill admit i couldn't even make cardboard ones. He is incredibly nerdy, but i give him props for taking the time and effort to making such an arsenal.
Thank jesus someone else on this fourm has a level head. Seriously, it makes me laugh reading all of Seals' ramblings on Mercs and how nothing compares to his CLK Black Edition. Well, i suppose everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but cmon now, at least try to hear other sides of the arguement once in a while.VicktorVauhn wrote:
go buy a salvaged miata, drop a LS7 in it, throw on race suspension and beat them both for less then 10 grand... but its gonna rattle, wont clear a speed bump, and will generally suck to ride in.
The point is these car are not priced based off a lap time. Look at the quality of materials, the comfort, the prestige, the car as a piece of art, the comfort and ride quality...
You can have a stupid fast last time for relatively cheap, you can have a soft comfy car for relatively cheap...
But to build a car that compromises nothing and offers style, comfort, speed....
The Vette and the 911 were tested against each other... The vette won but the testers said the Porsche was more enjoyable to drive, and felt more precise...
The point is you can build a car to just do one thing with relative ease... but to ignore all compromises and build a car that does everything takes a lot of engineering.... and that means money.
Attics?
my favorite song by them
I agree, the days of Grouppe-B rallying was incredible. Huge names like Lancia with their Delta Intergrale and Audi's S1 were both amazing cars, rally will never be the same.VicktorVauhn wrote:

Sharpie markers don't really stand up well. They fade and discolor, bleed and it will smudge eventually.
Its not just a marker, its a sharpe, lol. Its a "permanent marker" and its on there pretty well. You couldnt get it off if you rubbed it really hard, even if you scrubbed with water, youd have to use nail polish remover or toothpaste (believe me, i tested before hand to make sure it wouldnt just come off if i rubbed it)Liberal-Sl@yer wrote:
Really not a bad case mod, but wouldn't it have been wiser to choose something that didnt wipe away as easily as marker?
Thats pronounced "Soviet Xbox of Three Six and Oh"
Well late this night, my friend and I were discussing some 360 case mods, and, just getting back from watching "Wanted" (alright movie tbh), i had nothing to do, so i thought, what the hell.
The descison what design to put on my Xbox came naturally, what could be cooler than a soviet xbox? (dont say awsm xbox, because its not true, communist russia is cooler.). So off i went, printed out some nice, large decals, and went to work.
Here are my materials, A cutting board (plastic bin flipped upside down), An exacto knife, and the decals i printed earlier
Next came the exacto-knifing out the lettering and hammer & scythe, easier than i thought, but cutting them out killed my fingers, i had to take numerous breaks because the back end of the knife kept digging into my finger
Success!
These actually came out better than i thought.
Next step, using the cutouts to get the positioning right on the Xbox
Using the stencils i made, i taped them on the Xbox and began coloring (Yes, i used a sharpee, no red spray paint that i could find at 2am)
30 mins later:
BAM!
Now to put on Союз Советских Социалистических Республик (CCCP)
One down...
Done!
Chea boy!
Now for some faceplate decoration...
And its done! Btw, the odd discoloration in some of the photos, is only apparent in the photos. IRL, everything is a nice, deep red hue. I started at about 9pm and finished at around 2, but i did take a lot of breaks so the whole thing probably took 3 hours, now im owining communist russia style... Hope you like it!
Some more pics:
Ill probably do some work today, changing some stuff on the faceplate and adding a bit more to the other side, i'll be sure to update.
