i don't think you can use 2 video cards, as the older ones are agp, and most boards (other than the new SLI boards) only have 1 AGP/PCie slot. but you can still have two monitors, it depends on if your video card supports it - look at the back of it, and if there's 1 output port then you can't, if there's two then you can. you need to have the right drivers (nvidia/ATI) installed for windows XP to recognize both.iamamuts wrote:
no not for two monitors in game. but one for playing BF2 and one for desktop. can u also use two different video cards?
Edit: you can also do it with a multi-out, then hook it up to your TV also. again, your video card has to support this (the little round port with 5 or 6 pins, and then you hook a dongle (lol) up to it) -- sorry, have to laugh everytime i say dongle. (lol)

to clarify the question: "How should the US deal with the [foreign relations] problems we face today?"deathlyzer wrote:
How should the US deal with the problems we face today?
Everybody here seems to have the answer in their backpocket.
i think a big part of the problem lies with the US being a socialist capitalist society. i'm not going to say oil was or is a motivation for US occupation of Iraq, but i do think money plays a bigger part than most of us think (google "Merchants of Death").
there is also a growing percentage of the population within the US that is beginning to see the negative aspects of our society. a capitalist society has many benefits, but its far from perfect. consider the fact that 1% of the US population controls 40% of our wealth, and this ratio is just going to get worse for the average joe over time.
there is now mutual agreement between Russia and China against the US, in regards to 'American Global Leadership'. they both express concern and disagreement of our current approach, which is outlined in the PNAC, specifically the document titled, "Rebuilding America's Defenses". Being a citizen of the US, I find this extremely concerning.
to put it bluntly, i think America should get it's nose out of the collective world's ass. i would like to see freedom ring across the whole world, but not through military agression, which is what i read between the lines of our current foreign relations strategy.

very nice, looks good! if they ever come out with a Los Angeles map, they have to put that buggy in!
i have seen the videos about 9/11 and the possible conspiracy behind it, but haven't quite decided 100% on way or the other. i think the US government needs to release some information concerning the events to the public, simply to defend their position in light of these new conspiracy theories. i would also like to believe everything that i hear from the government, but i think everyone knows there are some things they just don't tell us. that's why i considered the possibility of the theories, i didn't just turn a blind eye to it all.
i don't put the theories past the capability of man, especially when that much money is involved, in a capitalist society. i also think that other factors may be motivating the conspiracy, if it is true. while waiting for 1.4, i poked around a bit, and found some interesting stuff:
http://www.newamericancentury.org/Rebui … fenses.pdf
here is an excerpt from "Rebuilding America's Defenses," a Defense review dated Sept. 2000 from the New American Century (NAC) project, which is shown in the Loose Change video:
pg.2 "...whose goal is to promote American global leadership"
pg.63 "Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long
one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event - like a new Pearl Harbor."
here is another interesting link: http://www.darpa.mil/tto/programs.htm
i found it interesting to note how much technological research capability is being put into drone technology, such as networking models, miniaturization, and different forms of communication. i get the impression they are working on long range insertion technologies, deployable anywhere in the world with real-time communications. bear in mind, i'm sure these are just the ones they want us to see...
all things considered, i still can't see, without a reasonable doubt, that the conspiracies are true or false. hopefully, unlike some other theories, this one will either be confirmed or debunked within a reasonable amount of time.

sounds like fun at first, but when you consider the withdrawal symptoms from no BF2, and then picture all the junkies in the parking lot looking for fragments of CD's that they can glue back together, maybe its not so good. i would go for it if we all threw china plates with pictures of the BF2 cd painted on it at them though!(RB)BuLLeT-X2 wrote:

per the ea website on veteran status:
"As a reminder of your heroic efforts in Battlefield 2, we are pleased to announce that you will also be awarded an exclusive Veteran indicator next to your name in Battlefield 2142, so other players will recognize that you’ve had a tour of duty in Battlefield 2. You will also receive an immediate promotion in Battlefield 2142, which will let you choose an unlock. Finally, you will receive a new verbal taunt to use in Battlefield 2."
i was hoping 1.4 would be the one that included the taunts

I have seen quite a few instances in my local town where home invasions backfired on the criminal because the homeowner either shot the invader or shot AT them and they ran away. If you break it down into the basic urges of a predator/prey situation, even a little old lady with a .45 has a chance of mortally wounding a 19 year old thug intent on taking her purse, which in the predator's mind, isn't worth the chance. The thug is going to choose to avoid the situation and move on to something else, something they feel they can get away with.

They could include tanks like shermans, and maps in the desert ect.
What do you think?

yeah, looks pretty idiotic to me. i ran into another one - forgot his name though. i was slowly following him with my tank as he walked right down the middle of the road on wake, when he encounters enemy fire, turns around to run, and smacks right into the face of my tank. then he fuckin punishes me for the tk! what a complete moron!
i agree. just this morning i'm officially saying "FUCKIT" because these motherfucking connection problems are pissing me off. i was playing a good round of wake when we (usmc) just started to get a foothold on the island, then got icp. fuck this bullshit, this isn't what i fucking paid for. i know, nobody cares, but i have to vent somewhere, as i paid for the fucking game, i should be able to play it without it fucking up all the motherfucking time. so, as of today, i'm not going to play the piece of shit game anymore until they make it better with 1.4. and if that doesn't solve it, fuckem, i won't play at all. nor 2142.
do you have any other game controllers? i have a nostromo and saitek x52, and it seems that in bf2 you can only bind controls to the first two devices listed under game controllers
you will not acquire any statistics from playing the singleplayer version of BF2. you need to play online, in a ranked server to get stats to show in BF2. If you have been playing online on ranked servers and they're still not showing up, then you just need to wait a little while. i don't know exactly how long the lag is, but its usually about 6 hours before some of the stats will show in BFHQ.
hope this helps....

doesn't sound like a good match, as you have to be on the right team to win. final scores of 10-0 or 5-0 are good games to me...eagles1106 wrote:

and no, just because its Wake doesnt mean the Usmc loses every round, if your a good ground pounder and your on the right team, you can own as Usmc, ive had a lot of Usmc wins there with ticket scores of like
284-0 or even once 300-0...
its awesome if you like rpgs, one of the best that i've ever played. just make sure your hardware is up to date. and after you get bored with hacking things up, you can mod the shit out of it, but even that gets boring after a while. nothing like a good ole online shooter for replayability!

I think I've found what I want to mount on the top of my new SUV!
I think we should definitely rebuild our country (WTC & N.O.) first, but I don't think we should completely disregard the countries that we mess up in the name of peace and security. I guess we should rebuild both at once, while giving more priority to NO first, so they can get back on their feet down there, then focus on a new WTC.
I know that i would be a new enemy of the US if i lived in another country and US forces came in, destroyed it (in the name of security), then left without doing a damn thing to help us. And at this stage in the game, I don't think the US can afford many more world enemies.

On a Wake Island map, i jumped into a usmc buggy that had 1/4 health, picked up two passengers, had a sip of my jack and coke, then drove right into a tree... needless to say, they wouldn't ride with me after that.
I don't think it will die because everyone loves to go in and be the pwnrer of a game full of noobs.... just can't beat that feeling. And it will be that much more sweet once the taunts are put into place.
I've had that happen to me before too, and I almost started bitchin about it, but instead i got pissed, found the dude that i previously unloaded a full clip into his head, and tried again, and this time he died (i was glad i didn't complain about him being a hack!). I think ping sometimes has a lot to do with someone not dying. And for the apcs, 2-3 shots at the soldiers feet will kill them, or 1 direct hit anywhere on their body does it too.
