The OH6 Littlebird (Hughes 500 in civil version) is only available in the XBox version (such a shame). But I´ve seen that it will be available in one mod (dunno wich one it was)
Problem would be the firing range part in european countries... Ok, I have not that big of a problem if my shooting results as military reserve could be used but most of the other people definately wouldn´t be able to go shooting.
1. If the Arty kills were in the fee chuy gets they would be shown in the stats so there is nothing he can do about it.
2. Why?
2. Why?
Your teammates are quite often even more stupid than you could ever imagine... I´ve killed quite a lot of people who either thought that our planes were just useful as a taxi (my best were 3 TKs IAR) or were about to rape the planewhores waiting for the jets to spawn (of course without trying to cap the flag on that base...)Tyferra wrote:
Awesome. What I like doing is putting mines on runways. You can be garunteed enemy traffic, without the risk to your more stupid team mates.
Got a nice chopper snipe on Ghosttown on my first round there. I sniped the pilot out of the Apache while it was in a strafing run and the gunner was unable to stabilize the chopper after switching seats and crashed into one of his teammates. Almost pissed myself laughing as they then startet to swear each other cause of my lucky shot.
If memory serves the requirements for that are global 3000 uses of FBs or Teargas so meanwhile someone should have it as you can shoot a lot of teargas in a long round
That´s really easy! Just hit Alt+F4 and a jet will spawn in front of you ^^Ub3r-ElitE wrote:

Btw: The hardest ribbon is definately the aviator specialist ribbon from SF
The only real hard part in obtaining any award is that you need luck to join the winning team (directly after joining a server!), that your teammates are no smacktards while the enemies are.
Then you only have to be in the right place at the time.
It doesn´t matter if you kill them instantly or slowly you don´t get any points at all. You just get them counted towards your global kills. I´ve placed so many mines while playing commander and didn´t get any points for it.IC_Draconis wrote:
Although you CAN get points for killing people as commander.
If you instantly KILL the enemy, you get the points for them. It doesn't work if you shot/blow them to critically wounded state and they die after.
Didn´t try it yet but theoretical you should be able to place certain weapons on the mousewheel up or down motion but then you can´t access the other weapons by MW anymore.
No, they don´t discredit it because they don´t have the patience, they discredit it because only a very small ammount of people got it the legit way while the majority shows the easy way to get it.Cougar wrote:
Like I said in a different thread, you can think that all you want. For those of us who got the ribbon and got it legit, we know otherwise. What I've learned from surfing these forums is that people tend to find a way to diss or discredit anything they themselves are not able or don't have the patience and skill to obtain.||BFA||xZeler8 wrote:

hehe... everything is fair in love and war. And as EA made it possible there is no point in not doing it as it´s neither a cheat nor an exploit nor statpadding ^^
How come? Just because everyone else thinks it´s the zipline?Coryphaeus wrote:

BlaZin.uk is a medic whore as some of the guys here said in the threads about him... It doesn´t matter what you do, as soon as you end up in the top10 people will start accusing you as a statpadder, xyz-whore...Tcx_1 wrote:
Ahh I see. Since BlaZin.uk has a score per minute of over 3, he must be a whore of some sort right?
But then checking his stats...you find he has hardly spent time in ANY vehicle...
Hmm...sounds as though you are the uneducated lame ass and the douche bag Cougar.
Nice generalized assumption there.
What map are you talking about? Didn´t spend that much time on SF servers yet.
As the geek I am I have to say that reactive armor has absolutely no effect on FBs because it´s just not designed for those kind of purpose. And the only thing a tank driver has between him and the world outside are some mirrors and glass so there is no kind of protection here either.Krappyappy wrote:
i guess the overpressure and flash magically makes it past the reactive armor on a T-90 to blind and deafen the driver.
I´m proud that I don´t even have one of them!
In german the Purple Heart is often translated to Verwundetenabzeichen (Wounded Medal) but for me the BF2 Purple Heart is the Verblödetenabzeichen (Retarded Medal).

I think the biggest problem about stat padding is that EA/Dice sooner or later has to find ways to prevent it and those are gonna hurt everyone who wants to play the game the right way.
I think it would be really easy to implement some kind of maximum revives to prevent the knife/revive game. Say someone dies 3 times in a row he can´t be revived a fourth time due to anti stat padding routines. On the one hand there are the stat padders who now have to spend more time on their way to the goal who don´t really care. But on the other hand there are the people who try to defend a flag getting hit the fourth time who then can´t be revived due to stat padders.
Every law that prevents people to live the way they want the easy way is due to people who misused the easy ways.

The Deaths row in the stats is about how often you died while hlding a weapon and not how often you were killed by them.LoaderX wrote:

Erm.... You need 50h as commander and 45 commander points IAR so I doubt that you can get it by piloting. Only point where piloting comes in handy is the 3:1 W/L-Ratio but only if you are real good.slidero wrote:
Plenty of people have it, though I really doubt they have earned it. Maybe a couple, like perseverance, tank whore extraordinaire, and probably some pilots. Not one of them by being a "really good commander".

Jihad jeeping is neither stat padding nor exploiting nor cheating. It´s just a cheap tactic but still difficult to get enough kills this way in a round.RadeonII wrote:

The invasion from the northern side via chopper has a big flaw as there is a mean AA turret that hungers for bad pilots and if nobody took care of it before you try it you will either have to get out over the water or you will die inside the chopper.
The APC invasion is also difficult if the Apache pilot is not a complete moron or if your Hind pilot is very good.
Till now I´ve spent 4 rounds on US side and 4 on MEC. I´ve only lost one round as US because chopper whores were busy TKing themselves so the Hind had easy prey ontop of the carrier. Same happened once playing MEC so that was a win for us. Most of the MEC tickets usually are wasted during the initial trying to get inside the carrier.

Careful what you say pal! If they take screenshots of you in an upside down boat repairing all the time they can still run to the EA ranked server forums and report you...Cougar wrote:
Don't like that? Guess what. There's not a damn thing you can do about it so sit down and STFU.
BTW: I don´t care for people who statpad for the engineer badges as I know it´s a pain in the ass but people who do the knife triangle really get me sick.
I now have TKed two time on purpose.
The first time a jet whore sniped me out of a J10 while I was about to take off for three times in a row just to crash it into the next tree... So I placed a claymore in the middle of the runway the next time he was about to start killing him out of the plane so I could jump in and at least keep it in the air for the rest of the round.
The second time a tank whore always stood in the middle of the road to block tanks from leaving. As the n00b driver was afraid of the TK they stood there for about a minute until I finally knifed the guy on the road and the tank could go into the fight.
And then there was the indirect third ^^
After getting TKed three times in a row by two n00b helo whores in Sharqui I threw a Flashbang right infront of them when they were about to take off resulting them to crash into the water. Then I was TKed again by them and they were kicked for massive TKing while I didn´t get any official TKs that round ^^
Most of my other 266 TKs come from stupid bombing attempts, idiots who love to hug mines and claymores (You could shout it to everyone and they still would run direct towards em...) and me getting paranoid while attacking flags (why do people jump towards me with a knife in their hand while I try to cap a flag? ^^)

I have to admit that the requirements for the engineer badge are ridiculous (I´ve spend 12 hours as engineer just to get the 5 points for basic engineer) and they encourage a lot of people to statpad but there are still people who got those the legit way so it isn´t impossible.
In the end the last thing the badges show is not the skill of the person who has them it much more shows that those people had luck to find a long lasting round where they were able to perform the required actions. Every n00b can get 25 repair points if the round lasts long enough and enemy SpecOps blow up the commander assets repeatedly so he can repair them.

I absolutely agree that it is really boring as long as the MEC have no flag onboard the Essex but as soon as they are there it starts making real fun.
If you´d get kills with the grapplinghook/zipline by taking it away you could also get teamkills. This would make pepole more cautious to pick up their toys.
Ever threw a nade at the claymore? It saves time and tickets.ThomasMorgan wrote:
I am tired of snipers laying down claymores and letting me run into them. I see the red skull and the person might tell the team where it is, but I just dont care. Usually its in a somewhat high traffic area, and I just NEED to get there, even if it makes taking a death and waiting 15 seconds to do so. I also punish everytime I get killed by a friendly claymore.
This happens to me too from time to time but usually I just wait till the next morning and everything works ok again.
This would be the absolute end of any kind of realism or balancing in the game...
You can do it... no, just kidding
I´ve tried it with a pal. I shot him and he didn´t get any dammage. We tried if it is just like the smokegrenade that you can only give a finishing blow. So I shot him with my M95 in the cheast and then a headshot with the zipline but no damage at all.

You can already "pause" by not selecting any spawnpoint when you´re death. If you´re not dead... well, bad luck for you, better find a good hiding place ^^
Edit: damn, I´m too slow ^^

The US airfield he was talking about is an uncap or did you ever see anyone cap it?kontrolcrimson wrote:
the airstrip on cleansweep is not an uncap. there is no red circle nor is there a flag.... they can spawn there if they dont wanna get killed...
I think it´s the decision of the people who PAY for the server wich rules they want on it. And it is definately no statpadding if baseraping on uncappable bases is prohibitet as you can still camp outside of the base to kill em (C4 on the only streets out still keeps the guys inside their base ).
Admins who behave like |cyphe... (no names ^^ but you know who I mean ^^) are statpadding.
The reason for the no vehicle stealing rule is that most of the time people who enter tanks in enemy bases just use it to spawnkill until they either get killed or are bored...
If you don´t like those rules don´t play on those servers! I like to play on servers with those rules ocassionaly as sometimes I just like to feel save from time to time ^^
It´s the zipline but you CAN´T kill with it.
In my opinion there´s no need for more unlocks but new equipment for the MECSF, Insurgents and Rebels would be great in SF.
Try to play commander on almost empty servers late at night and make sure you´re on the winning team ^^

Only the Commander of the winning team gets the x2 bonus. For everyone else it´s the normal ammount of points they gathered regardless of winning or loosing.
I think I had my lowest round today... -4 -20 8 5
