Love it.
Glad to see someone is still making BF2 vids.

He's from Australia, same as me. There really is very little in the way of BF2 servers up nowadays down under.thepilot91 wrote:
well said sir, but where do you live? , there are a few well populated servers in EU (64/64 almost 24/7)DrunkFace wrote:
If there were servers with more then 10 people on them I'd be playing BF2 now, same with BF1942 and BF:V. I'd also be playing CS1.6 instead of source or go if there were any populated servers for much the same reason. There is nothing, I mean that sincerely, nothing at all new from any BF made after 2 that I would miss. Graphics, singleplayer, unlocks... all are just gimicks to cover up piss poor gameplay.Macbeth wrote:
The series made progress in a lot of places that I would miss if went back to BF2 HD. A lot of rose tinted glasses around here. There was reasons we stopped playing BF2. Because a lot of things sucked in it.
I've heard that too. I think it's interesting Barnett actually wants to get a minimum return of at least 70 cents from Canberra for every $1 they send over - up from the 60-something they get now, and 50-something they'll apparently be getting in the future - but when Abbott recently came over for the campaign, Barnett couldn't get a guarantee from him it would happen if he won the federal election.Dilbert_X wrote:
As I understand it WA was the basket case and net tax recipient for most of Australias history, now they're doing OK, from natural resource, not good planning and development, they don't want to repay their debt?
I read that 1999 mode is more than just 'enemies have more health and you have less', but that it severely limits ammo and Infinite's version of plasmids and upgrades to the point that it can actually be impossible to progress if you don't play your hand right. So they hid it away in case some gamers try it thinking they'll beat it, fuck up and then say the game is bad.unnamednewbie13 wrote:
Unless that's just a cleverly-renamed "hard" difficulty, it's got my interest again. But for the life of me, I can't figure out why it's now popular to make people play through lower difficulties to unlock higher difficulties, unless it's for character level and shit.Steam wrote:

I always use them.KuSTaV wrote:
Anyone else utilise the MAV/T-UGS as much as me? My most common medal is the surveillance one at 6, each earned with 30 surveillance ribbons, and am 3 ribbons shy of a seventh medal. Seems like a pretty decent tactic in the large volume TDM servers on specific maps. I can get some pretty decent points on Caspian border, Tehran highway and Kharg island using the MAV since the height of the map isnt restricted as it is with Sienne crossing for example. Spotting it seems is also a good booster for some extra points if using the MAV, since essentially its about 40 or 60 for the surveillance assist isnt it? Then another 20 on top for spotted assist. Good way to get points doing essentially nothing.
The T-UGS is pretty decent for the TDM map of Metro. Actually I've got a pretty decent method set out as recon that manages to get some surveillance points as well as kills, since the map is so small and everyone usually is centered in those two buildings. So I guess its a passive method to accumulate more points and ribbons.
Isn't the Mayan prediction for December of 2012? If Romney wins, won't he have to wait until January 2013 to actually take over the presidency?lavadisk wrote:

The world will HATE us if we don't vote Obama. Are we ready to fall back into the dark ages???? It's about moving forward.. not greed..
Also Romney refereed to himself in 3rd person and people in the middle east HATE him.
I lived abroad. I know how it is to be the AMERICAN. Let's not betray our friends and family around the world.
When I was living abroad and the stock market crashed because of America.. an angry businessman walked up to me on a train in Osaka and he tore me apart like a Marine drill sgt.
I almost joined the Marines. They wanted me. The rules for joining are now TOO strict. you cannot say you have ever done drugs... Well.. Everyone in America practically has. You can't have SINGLE dent on your record..
Its about balance of power on a GLOBAL LEVEL. not about ME ME ME.
Before you blow me off as crazy.
My moms side is in the Masons I'm going to be introduced to them.

I think the Mayans were right. If Romney wins I believe we will get nuked. We are all moving to a singularity in time. If you haven't noticed how people have been acting differently.... You have your head stuck up your ass..... (no offense)
Last thing Ill say.. In quantum theory.. (I heard this from a friends friend grandfather) there was a study that hasn't been put out that states that instead of 2 variables you can use 3. or more.

tl;dr version:The Steam profile is fake, you can tell by the URL. But why would a Valve developer put teamf6rtress.com/mvm, knowing that it redirects to that fake profile?
That guys real profile is here: http://steamcommunity.com/id/mcmanning/
The who.is for...
Sybolt.com
Teamf6rtress.com
Neither owned by Valve.
/Edit: Blog typo. This guy capitalized on the opportunity to exploit the typo. He registered the domain teamf6rtress.com today, and had it redirect to that fake Steam profile page. He says that he's a software developer, so he's trying to spread his name through rumors and trolling.
This is not connected to Valve whatsoever.
Pity. Would be awesome if they really were starting to release Ep3/HL3 info.So the blog post was made by someone at Valve, they made a typo, this guy picked up on it real fast and created the fake profile with HL3 indev to mess with people? That's some dedication.
I don't think Ghost Town would be as fun without the grapple or zipline. Though I think it would give excellent close quarters battles without being..... well, Close Quarters.-Whiteroom- wrote:

Why does the SbS need a trigger for each barrel while the O/U needs only one for both?
Generally when I command, I'm sitting out of the battle to more reliably use the assets. Can't do scans when I'm dead.DrunkFace wrote:

Yea, it was support, assault and AT which had body armor/low sprint while medic, engy, sniper and spec-ops had no armor/more sprint.-Sh1fty- wrote:

Taken from the symthic forums. If its true, I hope they do something interesting with it and not just 'lol its just regular BF3 except the buildings have already been leveled flat!'As they said in the Press Conference, Aftermath will be four normal battlefield maps, and the setting is Tehran, Iran moments after an earthquake has hit.
California pacific time? That puts me 15 hours ahead of you. Fortunately I work a night shift so we will probably still be on our computers at the same time. Added you on Xfire.=6thAD=KJ43 wrote:
hehe...you're probably right. There are pretty much 3 servers (US based) I know of that seem worth playing on..Nunya (rules), ATF or One Option Gaming. I've usually been on Nunya these last few days but I'm down for anything. I can do whatever though I'm way out of practice with choppers. I usually play during the daytime (California pacific time).Sup3r_Dr4gon wrote:
Yea I'm down for some BF2. I'm in Australia though, so if I go on one of your servers you can expect from me plenty of GL spam and AR spray. Then again, half of all BF2 players seem to do just that so maybe it won't stick out so much.

Just reinstalled yesterday as I've been getting all nostalgic. Confirmed that the game is still way more fun and has better gameplay than BF3. Suppression sucks. Anyone that feels like playing hit me up on xfire or just post here.
From what I've read, the first third of the game will be set in the 1980s which sets up the scene for the final 2 thirds, which will be in 2025. I'm guessing from the desert and the Hind that you'll be playing as/among the mujahideen in the soviet-afghan war, and they weren't exactly known for their cutting edge tech.Ilocano wrote:

MASS = Modular Accessory Shotgun System. M26 MASS is the name of the weapon, DART (flechettes) is the ammo used along with BUCK(shot), SLUG and FRAG.-Sh1fty- wrote:
Darts is what I always used. Donno why I keep calling it Mass. The M26 DART is what I have most kills with for shotguns. What's the statistic difference between MASS and DART now? I don't get the difference. I used to do way better with the dart but now it sucks what changed?
DICE breaking more things in a patch then they fix. Who'da thunk it?lawrenceofarabia wrote:
When equipped underbarrel the pellets do the damage of the assault rifle (per pellet), massively increasing the overall damage. With the heavy barrel the damage falloffs are extended, increasing mid range damage even more. With a silencer you don't show up on the minimap when using the m26.
Dart ammo is particularly broken because it no longer has less damage due to the bug, but retains its increased range stats.
Here's some stats for you, on a G3 with a heavy barrel the M26 Dart shoots 408 damage worth of pellets that keep that max damage all the way out to 21 metres and still does 264 damage past 45 metres. This means virtually guaranteed on shot kills up to 30 metres and possible one shot kills at 45+ metres. Oh and since its a shotgun you don't really need to aim well to get these one shot kills.
This is more broken than the L85 no spread no recoil glitch.
You can say that again. Joining games solo, I found that most games end with the winning team getting its 50 kills and the 2nd place team only having hit 30-something. So then everyone from the losing squads disconnect and others join in again, making it an ever-changing bunch of randoms against one squad that wins every game.mtb0minime wrote:
Me and a few buddies have been trying to get 50 wins for the medal. It's so difficult for many reasons. For one, just trying to get on the same squad. And then, when we finally do, no one sticks around. We might win a round, or we might just do so well that they quit before the round is over. We're not even that good, we just have communication.
It's a very frustrating mode.
